Nashville's Chloe Bennet Joins the Cast of S.H.I.E.L.D. More casting news for your new favorite show.

Yay! All new people!
I like her. I approve.
Know nothing about her; this should prove interesting.
She's pretty. Hope she can act.
Her pop video - link:
Excellent! I was starting to worry that it was taking them so long to announce the last agent.
I dont think this character is an agent.
She's totally the best thing about Nashville.
Am I the only one who was hoping there would be at least ONE Whedon alum on the show (not counting Clark Gregg)?

Not at all - but the Powers That Be have spoken, and so it is time for the fan-waiting game to enter it's next phase...
I'm quite enjoying knowing about a cast of unfamiliar faces and names, before we grow to love them and panic about the amount of pain these characters are bound to go through.

I'm still hoping the recurring character spots will be filled with Whedon alumni though.
To be honest, a good number of Whedon alumni are getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm happy to see a younger generation being added to the mix.
I think people don't realize that most of the actors from Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse and Firefly are in their 40s (or close to it) and Marsters and Baldwin are in their 50s. There are a very few in their early 30s like ED, Dichen, Summer, Jewel and Miracle. Only cast member still in the age range of these kids getting cast is Michelle. And I think she has several years on all of them.

Of course Ming-na is almost 50 but she has a picture aging in an attic somewhere so she doesn't count. :)
Her character sounds cool. Obsessed with superhero culture and the shadow organizations that exist within it. Some audience members will relate, I think.

I can't wait to see this show. I hope Joss nails it.
