If we don't give up the fight we may see a big payoff somewhere down the road. It may not be what we expect but if Joss and Mutant Enemy and other networks and the movie industry notice just how many fans truly love this show it may mean another spinoff or a big movie. We never know. I mean, look at Firefly. It's going to the silver screen now and what tv show that gets cancelled after 11 episodes gets to say that?
So keep fighting the good fight! I mean, hey. What Would Angel Do?
Ok I'm getting down off my soap box now.

I disagree. "Firefly" needed a movie since it was cancelled midplot. BtVS finished. Unless you're aying that since a "Firefly" movie is being made, it shows that if Joss ever wanted to make a BtVS or AtS movie, he wouldn't have any difficulties, except for cast reassembly. And Joss has expressed interest in a Buffy and/or Angel movie. Of course, Sarah has expressed strong disinterest in a BtVS movie.
On another note, I don't think Joss will ever work with the WB again. I don't understand they're decision. I do, however, understand FOX's decision to cancel "Firefly." The ratings were awful. Although it would be nice if they waited until the end of the season to cancel the series.
However, UPN has never caused any problems. So I hope the next Joss series is on UPN, with FOX as a second resort.

It's like this: I am an 'Angel' addict. I can't get enough of that vampire stuff. I'm facing a foreseeable future in which my regularly scheduled dose of Whedon TV will plunge to nil, and I'm afraid. Brain cells will contract, with that exquisite feeling of weekly stimulation only a faint, dusty aftertaste as I detox painfully and unwillingly, choking down whatever network bilge is left to me. Because I'm afraid I'll be that desperate. 'Wonderfalls', if it can survive on Fox, may be a palliative, but (as much as I deeply adore Tim Minear's writing) it can only be the methadone to Joss's pure, sweet junk. Sad, isn't it. ;)
Joss did this to me, he and his evil cadre of word-smithing, emotion-impelling imps. If 'Angel' had been terrible this season, things would be different. But it's been good, by god, it's been so good I watch other things, compare them to the caliber of writing and acting I'm used to and find, strangely, that just about everything else suffers by comparison. I've grown uber-fond of 'Angel', so of course I can't sit by its bedside and watch it die. Because it isn't just AtS, it's Joss on TV, his aesthetic, his humor, his 'the-world-is-kinda-hell-but-hey-we've-got-each-other' thing that makes so much sense in this time we live in.
In other words, the existence of 'Angel' means there's hope and, crazy as that sounds, it feels like a lot more than just a TV show is at stake to me. How can I (meaning 'we') not fight? Seriously. It's either that, or give up. And boy, do I hate the sound of that.
