Kristin discusses the end of Angel in her weekly web chat transcripts. She talks about the possibility of Angel jumping to UPN. (Spoilers in later parts of the chat)

Well at least that's better. I was a bit miffed when she barely talked about it, but as some people predicted, she was still gearing up.

As for UPN, I think it's impossible to predict. Just like the show's cancellation was a complete surprise even to the most inside of insiders. UPN may not want to take over leftovers anymore, but then again, UPN has crap-all otherwise in terms of strong flagship shows. Especially since Enterprise seems to be sinking. I don't think they can run their business on those horrible sitcoms. So who knows.

But yeah, cutting cast or staff? Doubt Joss would go for that.
Might I suggest that it be noted that later on in the chat, there are Angel spoilers?
Hey, on whether we can expect a 2nd season of Tru Calling, Kristin said, "It doesn't look like it." What? I read the opposite earlier on this board.
Yeah confusing. But then the other news was on a Budweiser site. Maybe they had a few too many? (Bad joke) Still it's good to remember there's no official Fox news on that right? Still, Kristin should've at least heard of the Budweiser thing and comment on it. But then she's been known to be wrong before. Ah, I don't know what's going on anymore....
CAUTION WARNING: Massive Speculation Alert!!

Angel Six would be a cinch. And it would be cheap. Write out everyone except Angel, Lorne and Harmony. Don't kill off anyone because you wanna be able to bring them back for sweeps, but fulfill the prophecy: Angel becomes human. He also becomes a conduit for the Powers That Be. They tell him that now it's his turn to do for others what Doyle and Whistler and Cordelia did for him. Harm and Lorne tag along because they have nowhere else to go. They help other people become champions, and change the world one person at a time. Meanwhile, the fact that Angel has stopped being Angelus the Vampire gets out, and every enemy Angelus and Angel ever made start gunning for him. However, in stressful situations it's revealed that while the Powers promised he'd be human, the truth is that Angel is no longer quite vampire, or demon, or human, or anything anyone's seen before. What he is? Who knows. It'd take another season or two to figure out. The point is the show would go back out on the streets and in the dark shadows and back alleys of Los Angeles and elsewhere in the world, wherever the powers told them to go.

Actually that'd be more expensive wouldn't it? There'd be a lot of on location shooting. They wouldn't have any one office, because every episode they'd be seeking out a new future champion to help out. So there'd be no 'bottle' episodes. So forget what I just said. It'd be cheaper if they just don't do Angel Six.
Okay, I fully realize that I'm officially being a pain now, but mchan, I don't think you need to spoiler tag the article, since what you specifically referred to in your post was the section of the transcript concerning the cancellation is not spoilery. The note that you added about avoiding the very end because of spoilery news unrelated to your purpose for posting the article would seem to suffice. Leaving it untagged (but including the warning) allows those of us who choose to not see articles with spoilers in them to have access to the non plot-related information while also pointing the spoiler-seeking to something that they might be interested in. This makes your post useful to everyone while not giving anything away to those who don't want to see it.
Ok...I removed the tag.
Hey! When I clicked over I got the banner ad for Wonderfalls! Cool.
But then the other news was on a Budweiser site. Maybe they had a few too many? heh heh. I love a good bad joke, EdDantes.

I'm glad to finally read that fake press release about AtS getting picked up for a sixth season--I still hadn't seen the whole thing anywhere.

I'm suspicious of her news about SMG though. I wonder how legit it is.
Does anyone have thoughts on FX? I mean it's a Fox channel...they carry the Buffy Reruns. They also put original programming on...i.e. The Shield. I thought FX would be a good match.
FX might not have the budget for it. The Shield isn't very expensive. Lucky was absolutely broke. Netlets are not the best market, despite their increasing popularity. However, Shawn Ryan, Shield creator, was on Buffy or Angel (can't remember which), so he'd probably lobby for the pickup.
Well since it's a FOX channel...owned by FOX...couldn't that be a cost-cutter there? You know Fox produces Angel and all...I thought that there would be savings there. Just my thoughts...
