Much Ado About Nothing screening and Q&A at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Billed as "An Evening With Joss Whedon", Choire Sicha, editor of The Awl, will moderate a Q&A with Joss after the screening of Much Ado About Nothing at BAM on Thursday, May 30, at 7pm. Serenity will also be screened and introduced by Joss at 9.40pm on the same day. Tickets can be ordered from the website now.

Last year, Choire Sicha was willing to 'buy and distribute' Much Ado About Nothing: "In my role as do-gooding patron of the arts, I will absolutely pay to distribute this movie! Particularly if someone chips in to pay for the other 99.2%."

YES! Finally a screening near me. Just bought tickets and I'm so excited. Thanks for the heads up, Caroline!
Oh my goodness. It's also close to me. I am internally screaming so much right now. It's everything I ever wanted.
I just bought tickets for both films. Finally my chance to see the man who helped shape my personality and the things I like! So pumped.
Thanks for the post, Caroline! I got tickets for both films. This is sure to be a great night.
Wow...really wish I could go to this. Damn, I hate working so early in the morning :(
How accessible is this from Penn Station? One, two, or more switches on the subway?

By the time, I figure this out tix will be gone.

From Penn Station, Take the 2 or 3 train to Atlantic Ave.
I find that the MTA website ( gives really good directions. It hasn't failed me yet, and I almost always get there exactly when they say I would, give or take five minutes.
Thx everyone!
The site says tickets are $25 but I'm seeing $13 for each movie plus a $1 processing fee for each. Am I missing something?
Ok, after starting over I now have a version that says $25 for Much Ado. All the ID numbers in the URL look the same and everything. It's odd.
I'm thinking tickets suddenly became a lot less available so they've raised prices.
More likely there's a glitch of some kind. Or I did something stupid. I never rule that one out. It wasn't anything obvious, though.
It cost me $25 for Much Ado and $13 for Serenity. Seems about right
Just got my tickets! How thrilling! Thanks for the heads up, Caroline!
They did bump the price. I bought mine at $20.
I so wish I could go. But it's the last day of the month which is impossible for me with my job. Everyone have a blast!
Looks like tickets for Much Ado are sold out :(
Well jacyevans, you'll miss out May 30th, but since you're in (or near) NYC you know you'll get to see it June 7th! I've still got my fingers crossed that it'll open in Chicago and I'll get to see it again there, because Iowa is unlikely to get it.
