Does it? This reviewer just seems to be joking about it.
I did read there were differences between the sides and the aired version (Spike's hole in the world speech instead of Angel and him contemplating saving Fred or the world), but this review doesn't mention that.

Yeah this was just the reviewer joking about how Joss did everything he'd hoped for, almost as if they'd sat down together. Must say I never heard of this site before. (Not Whedonesque, the link site) But then there are so many, aren't there?

Loved that last paragraph too:

I know this has been mentioned over and over and over again, but wow, how can someone not see the complete beauty and kick-assedness of this show? After seeing an episode like this it just really tears me apart.... These characters are living and breathing, they are a part of my life, they are my friends(and enemies). And when Fred hurts, I hurt. When they cry, I cry. When they laugh, I laugh 'til I pass out. They affect me, my day, my week. It just doesn't seem right. This is like someone taking away all of my best friends and telling me I'll never get to be involved with their lives again, with only pictures to remind me. After May there will truly be A Hole in the World.
