Warehouse 13 renewed for fifth and final season. Warehouse 13 has featured quite a few Whedonverse guest stars, such as Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, J August Richards, Amy Acker and James Marsters, plus Anthony Head will be guest starring later in the 4th season.

Was it any good?
Warehouse 13 was one of only two ongoing (well, now only one) shows that I follow. It's worth a watch if only to see Sean Maher in a purple superhero costume.
The mind it is a boggling.
It's fairly lighthearted and put at a forefront the relationships between characters as a family. Occasionally, I thought it got too camp because some characters were more interesting than others but you can definitely chart growth in each character through four seasons. The leads have a great chemistry that reminded me of early Mulder and Scully. You weren't thinking about how they were getting together because that thought seemed impossible. They were not that kind of pair. You never know with W13 but it's been refreshing to not see the leads hop into bed as an eventuality when the groundwork was for them to be partners at odds with each other and develop organically.
I hope they have the guts to go ahead and make Myka and Helena a canon couple at some point before the end.

And I hope they have the courage to NOT make Myka and Pete a couple at the end. If they do resist that, I believe they will be the first series since "The Avengers" to successfully defy the TV cliche that "any man and woman who work together as a team must eventually wind up in bed together."

I'm still waiting for my H.G. Wells spin off with Ianto from Torchwood (the actor, not the character). In my head, it's fantastic.
Joel Gray just tweeted that he'll be on the next Warehouse 13 (Monday May 20th), but I'm afraid he'll be missing his tail (I LOVED the tail!).
Warehouse 13 is fun.

So much this.
weird that they renovated this series and left the amazing Alphas in the dust
Glad to hear of the renewal - fun show!
Symbiotics, I think money had some to do with it. Alphas likely cost more to make. The cast is bigger and there are more special effects. What's very interesting now is whether SyFy would entertain doing crossovers. Alphas and Warehouse 13 existed in the same universe, and so did Eureka. It would be be great to see Sheriff Carter pop up in Univille.

The ratings for Alphas were horrible after the first few episodes. Even at their highest they were a million less that WH 13. This has nothing to do with the quality. It is simply that there were not enough viewers that counted. The problem is in large part time-shifting. The audience for the SciFi genre does that a lot. Advertisers are not willing to pay as much for time-shifted viewers even when the commercials can not be skipped.
I don't think I've watched W13 since... the season they added Steve Jinks (that's correlation not causation there as I liked Steve just fine.) It was a fun little series but it just stopped interesting me after a while. It may be that that was around the time they spent so much effort making everyone interesting that Pete Lattimer began to grate on me to an intolerable level.

I doubt they'd make Pete and Myka a couple. I'm not sure you're really not being cliche if Myka hooks up with Wells though. It's just the Xena style of being subtexty until the fanbase is fairly self-selected and then pulling the trigger. But it's the same impulse to release the sexual tension in your leads. It's just in this case you're ignoring the male lead entirely.

This
And bring back MacPherson.

Really like W13, although I think it had a lot of unused potential.
I don't mind it ending as I would much rather that than it get suddenly canned in the middle of a plot arc, but only six episodes? Really?
I looked up recent ratings on the show. Had no idea so few people watched it now. Viewership has dropped in half from just 2 years ago. With rising year over year production costs there is no way that kind of drop is tenable.
I still like the show, but I find that the mannerisms that were quirky and interesting in the first few seasons began to wear on me. Pete is a great character, but his dialogue started to turn into just a series of catchphrases. I was also pretty tired of Myka being self conscious about everything. You'd think a decorated federal agent would be more sure of herself.
Anybody else notice Charlie Weber (Ben, BtVS Season 5)on tonight's Warehouse 13?
