Michelle Trachtenberg to play Marina Oswald in Killing Kennedy. The National Geographic's two-hour original factual drama will see Michelle speak only Russian and is tied to the 50th anniversary of Kennedy's assassination.

It is based on the book by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard and follows the paths of Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald from 1959.

Huh. I've seen Marina Oswald only in an episode of Quantum Leap, but weirdly that actress did sort of resemble Michelle.
Meltha "Leaping on a String." Not one of my favorite "brush with history" episodes, but the scenes with Al back at the Project, and then trying to get through to Sam in the end were powerful. Neat twist ending, too. (And Don Bellisario had a brief encounter w/Oswald in the Marines.)

And that was my first thought, too, when I read this. "Huh. I only know her from QL."

Did you know that our own Erica Amato (of Velvet Chain) is in that episode? She plays the Russian secretary when Oswald tries to defect. That's how I got to know her - she used to post over on the Bronze: Beta, and I happened to mention being a fan of QL one day when she was there.

And can I just say how cool it is to see Michelle's name in a headline with Rob Lowe's? Not to sound cliched, but..."Our little Dawnie's all grown up!"
Doesn't Michelle have Russian heritage? Good casting.
