Listen to Allyson. Be very careful who you send money to. From what I understand, enough money has been raised for the "Save/Support Angel" campaign. If you still want to help, do this by sending postcards and letters to the various networks and affiliates.

Some folks have been interested in sending fanmail to the crew: gaffers and boom operators and set designers and all. This is also a lovely way to send your support and love if you have extra postcards, because these folks don't typically get fanmail.

After the correct addie is confirmed (unsure whether the direct addie will be comfy for them), a list of departments will be posted at various and sundry sites so that fans can jot down a thank you to the behind-the-scenes folks.

To add our our 2 Whedonesque cents, I'd like to remind people the initiator of this latest petition was banned from Whedonesque.com last week for disregarding our community's rules, self linking and ignoring our request to take the discussion to e-mail. His subsequent communication did not do anything to remove our doubts regarding his campaign, but rather made things worse. We hope this is all down to poor communication skills and not malicious intent.

Savingangel.com is an impressive cross-community effort that Whedonesque.com is proud to be affiliated with.

Why are they asking for too much personal info? I've signed online petitions before and this is the first time I've been asked for this much info. Perhaps they think it would make their petition more valid?

Anyway, I'm one of those people who'd like to send the Angel people a thank you card so it would be nice to have an accurate address to send it to.

There's about two hundred people on the crew, so you could probably just pick a few departments and send, or send to each department head.

That's wonderful, Allyson. I'll swing by here to get that address info once it's available and I'll definitely post it at SupportAngel.org/RenewAngel.com (as long as that's OK, of course!). We've got a "love letters" section up, which is dedicated to posting fan letters about how much the show means to them, and I've been getting lots of submissions so I know that people would love to have more ways to make their appreciation known.
