Take Me To The Pilots '13: ABC's 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' . "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is not all the way there yet. But it's fun and sometimes exciting and everybody's trying to make it likable."

I'd love to read comments from others who saw it at Comic Con.
I'm still excited for this. A lot.

There's a link from that page to a similar non-review of The Crazy Ones - not so enthusiastic.
I'm actually happy with this semi-review. Clearly, the reviewer is more representative of GA and this show will live or die by GA's support. He did like it overall, and if he came across not as positive as we would have liked, it's because he's a professional critic, it's his job to be critical. From his other semi-reviews, AoS pilot does seem to be among the best this season.

This article certainly doesn't make me worried whether I would like the show, because the reaction of fans at ComiCon was overwhelmingly positive and they are more representative of my tastes...
This review (semi-review?) does have a kind of negative/critical tone, but he does say it left him jazzed to see the second episode (which I heard Jed say would be great). I had expected the pilot would feel it was necessary to remind TV viewers that they saw AVENGERS and this is kind of predicated on that. Pilots always have to lay a ground work, and I'm confident that Joss will do this with humor. I don't need to fall in love with all the characters in the pilot episode; after all, I already love Clark Gregg and J. August Richards!

Lets be honest: this is actually how I feel about all four of the other Whedon premiere episodes to an extent. Not worried at all because the pay off of giving him a chance for just a few episodes is always completely worth it.
