Because they are extremely stupid! I may have been interested in checking it out before they cancelled Angel but there is no way I'd watch it now. As this isn't the first time that network television has tried to resurrect this show, I have my doubts it will be successful so it boggles the mind that they would cancel a very successful show with a very loyal fan following for untested, re-used, most likely crap.

Well as I mentioned before 2 of the WB new drama pilots have already had to be pushed back to midseason because of scheduling or production problems. Global Frequency is having issues with doing it's cgi effects (ie not enough money to make them believible). If this keeps up Angel may be brought back because of so many empty spots in the line-up, wouldn't that be lovely,

RavenU- That's good to hear...we need as many factors as possible working to our benefit. And while I don't usually wish ill upon shows that haven't had the chance to prove themselves yet, I'm making special exceptions in this case!

I'm doing my best to not get my hopes up (having to force a smile through way too many Nintendo-less Christmases in my childhood has definitely taught me a lesson in that one) it's still nice to hear things like this.

I think we should set up a pool and we can all pick a date in which we think that theWB will cancel Dark Shadows. The cost of entering the pool is $1. The winner will have a flower arrangement sent to Jordan Levin's office with their name on the card along with a personal message of their choosing saying in effect "we told you so!". You know it will only be a matter of time before they cancel the show, because TheWB can't come up with any good original programming.

They did so well with their revival of Tarzan that it probably was a no brainer.

Dark Shadows will tank for two main reasons. Firstly, Angel fans
won't watch it & we must be a huge part of it's target market.
Secondly, the first run DS was a total fluke. You can't re- create a fluke. I remember watching it as a kid; (gave away my age)soundtrack records that skip, bad hair, fubbed lines, plastic skeletons-other sad special effects, a cast that always played it stonedcold straight;it was unintentionally hysterical.
In addition to Angel, I'd watch it. Instead of Angel, I won't.
Like the pool idea though
