(SPOILER) Promo for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 1x08 'The Well'. This is the Thor: The Dark World tie-in episode.

Huh, I sort of got my hopes up that it'd be the gag from the final post-credit sequence of the film even though I figured that'd be prohibitively expensive.

I still don't quite get how this will tie in to The Dark World at all, but I hope it's better than the thing where every sci-fi/fantasy property does their own riff on a Fight Club.
Not having seen Thor 2 (out in Italy next week), I guess an Asgardian warrior's staff with mystical properties ends up on Earth.
still haven't seen it, comes out this thursday in Argentina but I usually wait until the hype has died down a bit
I'm guessing they'll address the attack on London, but there's no Asgardians in that battle except Thor. Dunno how that staff gets to earth and what it has to do with Thor. Kinda makes me worried that the episode wasnt really written to be a tie-in but they;re promoting it as such for ratings.
Xander, if they are doing such a thing it will misfire mightily. People are already complaining for the lack of superheroes on the show (though it was never promised). Now, when they promote a tie-in with Thor and it turns out to be somthing insubstantial, people will be acceptably furious.
I feel like I've seen this before. Phlebotinum that makes people enraged. Was that in an Angel or Buffy episode? Or maybe a different show?
Well, Buffy had more than one episode where phlebotinum caused changes in personality...Ethan making the band candy turn its consumers into teenagers or at least remove their adult morals, the botched love spell with Xander as the focus, the varsity jacket from S7, Sweet and his magical music mojo...
Looks to be cribbing from that rage episode of Alphas (a show which was far more comfortable with superheroics and complex villains than AoS has managed so far).
