im wondering how the story line with "the immortal" and buffy turns out (if SMG does return). i highly doubt that buffy would be with another big bad knowing hes up to now good. and there is a law firm in italy that we find out about. maybe "the immortal" is working with the senior partners somehow and buffy knows this. maybe thats why she doesnt trust him since hes working at the firm. hmmmmm........could be an interesting story line.

Finally got that stupid link to work. The MT apperance still sounds a little fishy. It will be interesting to see Dawn interact with Angel. We already know her relationship with Spike, but I dont think they have ever shot a scene with MT and DB. Buffy did mention that Dawn cried for a week when Angel left for L.A. Do you think Dawn will realize that it was just a fake memory and treat this meeting like there first one, or will see act as if she really missed him. It should be interesting.

Since they both remember each other, they do have a real relationship, even if they've never technically met. Besides, Angel propably doesn't even know that Dawn wasn't always there.

Last season in Angel, Angelus phoned the Summers household looking for Buffy and spoke to Dawn. Trying to remember if they showed Dawn answering the phone in BtVS.

*sighs* Thanks lalaa , it would be cool if they had. It would have been a reminder of the Buffy/Angel non phone conversation back at the beginning of BtVS season 4 and AtS season one.

I think they cut a scene somewhere in the middle of season 7 where Xander referenced the weird weather conditions in L.A.

I remember that. Angelus heard a slayer was in L.A. (Faith) and was trying to find out if it was Buffy. "Hi Dawn, Is your sister there? She is?" and hung up. That was great. This whole conversation reminds me of the meeting that they never showed between Angel and Buffy when Buffy came back from the dead. They never said what really happened, and both of them refused to talk about it. Then they came out with a comic about it, but that didnt even really tell the story, since it was really just what Xander, Anya & Dawn thought was happening. Stupid Whendonverse and its loose ends...

The writers just figured that it would be best to leave it to peoples' imaginations, since at the time no crossovers were allowed anyways. Personally, nothing beats Cordy's and Wes's interpretation of the B/A relationship in "Fredless".

Well, Dawn does have that parallel connection with Connor in the whole "I'm related to a creature of the night hero and those around me had their memories messed up about me and the consequences of the memory alteration are ambiguous and mildly frustrating for fans who want everything to make sense."

Dawn being friendly to Angel would also contrast with Buffy's frosty reception (I mean if SMG is not comming and all we see is a whiff of blonde hair.)
