For your consideration 2014: Oscar voters, don't forget Joss Whedon. Especially for his score for Much Ado About Nothing.

I certainly think he should be up for director as well as score. Who knows - indie movies, every once in a while, do get attention from the Academy. We can only hope. I read a lot of reviews of Much Ado, and all but one were glowing. (And even that reviewer liked Nathan Fillion.)
Joss always seems to fly under the radar during the Oscars as well as other deserving writers and directors. I no longer pay them any mind for we know the real winners.
