Cover to Joss' "Astonishing X-Men" #2 I have always loved Cassaday's artwork, but this cover looks almost like an Adam Hughes piece... which is a good thing.

While I too love Adam Hughes stuff, I think that looks like Cassaday all the way. I love his clean & simple style. My only regret with him doing the art is who knows how long we will have to wait for Planetary to finish up.
Both Cassady and Hughes are among my favorite artists. I can see what you mean with the comparison in this piece but it's definitely a Cassaday.

Really looking forward to this.

As for Planetary....NOLA, do you mean to say Planetary came out with any regularity so far?;-)
This cover actually looks cool. I like Adam Hughes; I'm not too familiar with Cassaday, but I don't really like most of the work I've seen from him.

well, at least it was back on a semi-regular, irregular schedule. Now with Astonishing X-Men who knows when the thing is going to end? Maybe, maybe Cassaday got an issue or 2 in but I kind of doubt it. The guy just does not work that fast.
Planetary has always been published irregularly. It originally began as a quarterly, iirc. But the recent delays haven't been due to Cassaday. Warren Ellis had been very sick for some time and took a hiatus. He's back now and promising that we should see his projects on a closer to schedule basis now.

I'd hate to put Cassaday in the Brian Bolland/Art Adams/Frank Miller/George Perez category before he had a chance to embarass himself by not meeting deadlines on a monthly book.
