Sarah Michelle Gellar's AMA on reddit! Started at 6pm (EST).

It's started. One of the more interesting questions she's asked is about her favorite Buffy episode to work on:

I have a few, so bear with me.
I am in a room full of Buffy fans and everyone is yelling out their favorite episodes!

My first one is The Prom because I just love that whole story, and I thought it just encapsulated the show so well. It was beautiful and heartbreaking.

I also love Hush because I think it's not just the scariest episode we've ever done but the challenge to do a silent episode - I thought it would be easy but it was way harder.

And the other favorite I love is The Body, because it was beyond difficult and heart wrenching to shoot, and I don't know if many people know this, but my entire first scene was all done in one take. It was 4-5 minutes of one long take.

This is an incredibly charming Q&A.
The comment about her daughter and cameras broke my heart.
I never realized that she was so attached to Angel over Spike. I feel the same way but she didn't even give it a second thought!
My elation that she loves The Prom as much as I do aside, my other favorite thing she said was this:

"Seeing as Joss Whedon is the current master of the Marvel Universe, if he was to offer you a superhero role that hasn't been filled yet, which one would you love to tackle?..."

He already gave me the best superhero I could ever ask for.

Aww.
That was great. I laughed at the Angel over Spike thing. She always seemed to lean that way. Certainly does not end the debate. Only Joss/Buffy can.
I miss SMG as Buffy so much. This girl is a gem.
Oh god, I never knew David said "It's okay, Sarah" in I Will Remember You. So weirdddd.
I like that she could come up with something like "Fruit Punch Mouth." It's like she's a die-hard.
The whole thing reminded me how much I love her. SMG is one cool lady!
Sarah picked Angel over spike and then had no idea what the "caveman or astronaut" question was referencing?

My whole life has been a lie....
A lot of this was very cute and wonderful but I wasn't so impressed with some of the unnecessary plugging for The Crazy Ones.

Q: What's something about Buffy Summers that we never knew?
SMG: Buffy loves The Crazy Ones! Catch it on Thursday 9pm!
A lot of this was very cute and wonderful but I wasn't so impressed with some of the unnecessary plugging for The Crazy Ones.

On the Internet there is no such thing as shameless advertising...

PS: I'm actually not trying to be ironic (for once.) There really is no such thing as shameless advertising on the Internet (because getting your information out there is precisely what it's all about.) And props to her for making the most of the moment - and for a fun show that deserves it, too.

Yeah, I can see that (although in my main ficverse I made Buffy a novelist and
Angel became an addictions counselor.). And I'll take this as Sarah's blessing of the idea that the actors in the shows also exist in the B'verse. (The actors don't appear in any of my fics, but some of my original charaCters are friends with some of them.)

I listened to that scene several times at the appropriate spot - I hear whispering but I'm not sure it's, "It's okay, Sarah". I'm kind of happy though her answer to the question was "ANGEL".
People usually do AMAs when they have something to promote and the whole thing is often instigated by those in charge of that project, so I've no issue with Sarah plugging The Crazy Ones, especially given she seems really proud of it, as well she should be.
Cool interview. I like the way she turned the question about how many vampires or demons that Buffy killed to the audience. Over the course of filming multiple takes for a single scene and filming for seven years it would be almost impossible to keep track of all the monsters.
