Christian Kane Cast in TNT's The Librarians. His character is Jake Stone, an Oklahoma oil worker with an IQ of 190 and an encyclopedic knowledge of art history.

Sounds like my kind of show. And with John Larroquette, bonus!

Looks like fun!
Their definition of synesthesia does not sound accurate. However, the show itself sounds like it could be very fun. I loved Christian Kane in both Angel and Leverage. He's very good at action, drama, and humor, and it sounds like this role could give him all three.
As a librarian, I can say that I have been waiting for news on more movies in this franchise for years. To find out that they're making it into a TV series and it will star Christian Kane? Amazing!
Good cast overall, not just Kane--although he would be my favorite. But I hope they have an art historian advising the writers, as most films and TV shows depicting art historians don't do a very good job--either with the art historian or with the art.
Well, the Librarian franchise is very much part of the pulp hero adventure genre, for which realism isn't usually a high priority, so I think if you go into it with that kind of expectation, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. As a fan of pulp, not to mention Christian, I'm really looking forward to this!
Another librarian here. It may be called "The Librarians", but it will be interesting to see if any of them actually are, or how they'll deal with that. At least Noah Wylie's character actually was.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I'll get a kick out of the show, and anything that makes being a librarian look cool is great, but still.
