Neil Patrick Harris chats about lead role in 'HEDWIG' on GMA. In these videos, watch NPH explain what the show is about, and how physically demanding the role is. He also shares what his kids think of seeing him in costume!

During the appearance, anchor Robin Roberts asked the star why he chose not to have an understudy for the grueling role. "Well, my face is on the poster so I felt like you just kind of need to see me do it!" he quipped, adding, "Hedwig is rough around the edges by design. She believes she is more famous than she is and should be regarded as such. So if my voice is bad or if my physicality is not great that night, then I'll just work that into the show."

Here is another GMA video with NPH, including a "behind-the-scenes" look at Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
