A spoiler free review of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. finale. "This is, by far, the most well put together episode of the series to date." Added: MTV also has a review up which we would describe as very spoiler light. It has a lot more detail so if you want to stay entirely uninformed, try the main link instead.

Well, I need to see it for myself to know what he's talking about, but if he's right, this is the second time in less than a week that they prove me wrong.

The first one was with the renovation, because I've always thought the intention was not to do a second season (regardless the ratings). I couldn't imagine a full season doing what, just chasing Hydra? This season big payoff came after Captain America, so I assumed next one's couldn't come before Avengers 2.

And this leads to my second one. I thought they wouldn't do a second season because the show was irrelevant to the movies and they had their hands tied and cannot do anything big because Marvel won't allow it to happen off screen (talking only about the MCU movies). Now I guess I was wrong with this one two, and I'm happy to be wrong and can't wait to see it!
As much as fans love the films, what Marvel’s daring to say with this season finale is “everything we do matters, and you need to pay attention to all of it.”

I certainly hope this message gets out and that season 2 sees better ratings.
If I were a betting man the finale will, among other things, set the new direction for whatever the SHIELD mission statement is going forward. My guess is some kind of rogue group righting wrongs under the watchful singular eye of Mr. Fury.

The events occurring in SHIELD will lead directly to Avengers AoU. They can spend the fall chasing Baron Strucker or "miracle" people and advertise that to reallyreally "get" everything out of your AoU experience you'll need to have been watching the Marvel show on the T&V. I think if you could promise ABC a 2.0 next season they'd lock that deal down now -
Nice this has me more excited than ever for the finale.
I hope the finale ties into Guardians of the Galaxy a bit by finally revealing what the blue alien is. And then season two can lead into Avengers 2.

Do you think they would ever introduce one of the final infinity "stone" on the show first? What are the odds the Berserker Staff is one of them?
From the sound of it they are introducing someone/something/some group that is a big enough name to change thew whole MCU. This has me excited!
I am not going to try to guess what the finale presents us with, but I am more psyched than ever for it. I can't wait for tomorrow!
I'm going to bet H.A.M.M.E.R. comes into play in some variation at the end. I could be completely wrong, but it would make for an interesting season 2.
What a gushing review of tonight's episode. Prepare to blow the bloody doors off! Very much looking forward to tonight's discussion!
