Fan contributions sought for new Buffy book. Kiss Me Jane Productions will be publishing a Buffy fandom book. Topics for submission include fan devotion, forums, spoilers, fan fic, fan art and much more.

Well personally I think we've got a large number of posters at Whedonesque who write very well on a number of topics, so why don't some of you guys give it a shot.

I can't seem to find a plan for publication on the site; have you seen one Simon? This isn't a publishing house advertisement, and there's no mention of her already having a deal with one, so either she's planning on paying for publishing and selling it online, or is hoping to find a publisher after all the submissions come in.

I just worry about people who might submit to this production and find out later that the business plan wasn't solid, and their material isn't being sold in the way they imagined.
I will send the webmaster of that site an email with your valid concerns and let you know what they said.
Yeah, that would be great Simon. My hubby has done some great pencil drawings, but I wouldn't want to submit them if these folks aren't really on the up and up.
I wonder if they will except quotes from Levin about how good Angel is and how it is part of the foundation of the WB - speaking of foundation - it seems everything the WB does it part of it's foundation at least according to Levin. Here's his comment regarding those Papsi Smash Concerts they had on last year and will be doing again this year,"Renewing 'Smash' for a second season is a reflection of music's importance as a foundation to The WB," said Jordan Levin, Co-CEO of The WB.

Also what is this Co-CEO stuff, does this mean that his status has changed. I haven't seen him being refered to as a 'Co' anything before.
I found her solicitation on MoreThanSpike too (is that where you found it in the first place?), so I asked her there.

I don't have any final words yet on the publication, but we're hoping to get it published with ECW Press - which is a Canadian Publisher and has published other Buffy books such as Nikki Stafford's "Bite Me." If this colaboration works out then great! If not, then I will be funding the money to get this book published through our company and we will sell it online. I don't think that's what will happen, but worse case scenario that is the plan.

I received similar assurances in a reply to my email and the Kiss Me Jane site will be updated with a more detailed explanation as a result.
