Astonishing X-Men Art Up A couple of pages of John Cassaday's art for the new Whedon scripted X-MEN book has hit the web. Dialogue is right underneath.

Cassaday's stuff sure is beautiful and I can already read Kitty's dialogue and then close my eyes and hear Buffy.

Yeah, maybe I'm a big nerd, but I can tell it's Buffy-esque. Or rather, Whedon-esque!

Yeah definitely Whedon style dialogue. Which is good, cause that's what I was hoping for. MOrrisson was good with ideas and plots but on an emotional level he often failed to reach me.

And Joss has always said Kitty was a big influence on his female characters, so there's a nice sense of 'full circle' here too.

Shouldn't there be a spoiler tag here????

I mean it is self-explanatory, but I don't like seeing the comics being treated like second class stories!!
