Adrianne Palicki cast in 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' as Mockingbird. It was revealed at Comic-Con that the character would be appear in Season 2.

Just checked Imdb, she was Wonder Woman in the 2011 TV movie. Other highlights include G.I Joe Retalialion, Supernatural, Smallville, Red Dawn with Chris Hemsworth, Seth Green's Robot Chicken.

Excited for this, great casting, and for a completely shallow reason allows her to be blonde again like she used to be on Friday Night Lights.
Great choice. She's definitely an action star.
She's been in a lot of comic book related projects.

She was the fake Kara in Smallville season 3,the villain Siren in the Mercy Reef/Aquaman pilot,Wonder Woman in the aborted David E. Kelly Wonder Woman series and Lady Jaye in G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Corrected the G.I Joe role.

Slight correction: She was Lady Jaye in G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Jinx was played by Elodie Yung.
There was no WW television movie. It was the failed because terrible pilot for a series that never got made. /nitpicking
Imdb tends to label failed pilots as TV Movie for some reason. It's odd. And boy was that ever a failure.
Also, too: "Legion" w/Paul Bettany; "Friday Night Lights" (series). Something of a wasted character in the former, very good in the latter.
She was just terrific in Friday Night Lights (which was all around terrific in any case). She's an exciting addition to the series.
Loved her in "Friday Night Lights".
I absolutely adored her in Friday Night Lights so I'm so happy about this news. The only problem I have is that she's so talented I wish she would be in one of the BIG Marvel movies. Especially after reading she tested for Gamora.
Given that Mockingbird married Hawkeye in the comics, there is potential for her character to cross over to the movies.
Well, hitnrun017, Bobbi Morse and Clint Barton have a long and complex history with one another in the comics, so there's always a chance her appearance in at least one Agents of SHIELD episode means she can be easily included in MCU films like The Avengers: Age of Ultron or Captain America 3, the former allowing for Hawkbird action ;D
Oh, cool! I loved her in FNL, it will be fun to see her in SHIELD. I can definitely picture her in a superhero/action role. This cast just keeps getting better all the time. :-)
Suppose I should watch Friday night lights. my mom really likes it, so I could watch the DVDs that I've gotten her for past Christmases. I've got a good feeling about SHIELD season 2 as well. will there be any breaks or is it gonna just be a nonstop ride from September to May?
I think the plan is to air the first half without a break until Xmas. Then Agent Carter will air after Xmas and then ABC will show the second half of SHIELD without a break. Or something like that. Certainly less interruptions. Those really hurt the show back in January and February.
With a better script and better direction, Palicki could have been a decent WW. At 5'11", she's certainly got the height for it, and she looked good despite the terrible costume.
