Interesting. I enjoy these kinds of connections between apparently unrelated things. But I'm not sure the author quite understands Calvinism (few people do, including many Calvinists, and I don't really feel qualified to try and explain it either). Primarily, I would point out that Marty and the rest didn't choose to sacrifice themselves.
As a Calvinist, I say, "Hunh."
