Shonda Rhimes reveals how Buffy helped her rediscover TV. "I was very inspired by Buffy, mainly because it felt very fresh and new and like something that hadn't been on television before."

Respect for the show will only grow as Joss keeps doing good work and talented people keep discovering just how good Buffy was.

In the future the name Buffy will be so synonymous with kicking ass that there will be a generation that has to be told that the title was meant to be funny.
KS, I was ten when I first started watching Buffy and I'd known of it for at least two years before that. Buffy's name sounds strong to me. It's a struggle for me to imagine the perspective of someone who would laugh at the title, even though I've met many who do.
