Chris Buchanan sets record straight for 'Serenity' news. The Mutant Enemy president clarifies what he calls "dubious facts" regarding the upcoming movie.

Excellent, I hope they get it together with Ron Glass.
in the words of Homer Simpson *clears throat* WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO.
Yes, what and who Shepherd Book really is, well, inquiring minds need to know!

Great post by Mr. Buchanan, laying out things very unambiguously.

Now: When?!
I also would like Ron Glass in the movie. I'd be disappointed if the entire cast isn't in it. I know they aren't going to be able to focus on all the stories from the series but if the idea is to leave the ending with the possibility of a sequel or a return to tv it would be nice if they can start Book's story in the movie and leave us wanting more.
A colleague of mine at the office (her whole family is, as of last summer, totally addicted to all things Whedonesque) wants nothing less than a huge eclat for the first movie, leading to another every 6 or 8 months for, oh, say 10 years.
ooooooooooooooh I'm getting excited!!!! It just keeps getting realer!!!
Did I miss it, or did they get Alan Tudyk signed? I remember that when the cast was announced, both he and Glass weren't included, and Glass is the only one I see ya'll wondering about in the comments thus far. I need me some Wash in this movie!
I think Tudyk's participation was "announced" by way of being listed on the (possibly false?) casting sheet posted a while back on browncoats.com and then removed "by request of the copyright holder". See this report.

But he and Ron Glass were both left out of the Universal press release. The imdb lists Tudyk in the cast list but not Glass. TVTome lists Serenity on the credit sheet for both Tudyk and Glass and the Futon Critic lists them both, but those are the only ones I know of and who knows what any of their sources are??

I for one am very glad to hear unequivocally from a real live source that they are still working to get everyone on board. Can't wait to see it's officially happened!
Thanks, melsta!
