Chiwetel Ejiofor joins Ridley Scott's 'The Martian'. Casting news for our Alliance assassin.

That's a good book.
Yeah, THE MARTIAN is one of my favorite books of the past few years. I'm still a little worried about Ridley Scott directing, but with a script by Drew Goddard and this ridiculously amazing cast, THE MARTIAN's my most anticipated film of 2015 after AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.
This the first I've heard of the movie.
Ooh, thanks for the book tip. Added to the wish list. It's got stellar reviews on Amazon. And always happy to see Ejiofor on the big screen!
Yes, The Martian is an excellent book! Suspenseful yet well-researched and completely believable SF about an astronaut stranded on Mars. I am very glad Chiwetel is on board (I suspect I know which character he might be playing... I'll see if my hunch plays out). :-)
Best book I've read in a very long time! Hope they do it justice.
One of the benefits of sites like these is you get clued in to things you may not have otherwise heard of - I'm in need of a couple new books, so based on above positive reviews I'll have to check it out!

Also - if Marvel is eventually casting for a Black Panther (and rumors are the character is at least mentioned in Avengers 2) then Chiwetel should be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd person they call for the role
Oooh, Donald Glover is going to be in this movie too?!

This is an impressive cast list but, that said, there are something like only a dozen characters in the book so seems like they're going to be replacing all the east/south-Asian-American characters from the book which is somewhat disappointing.
