The Associated Press Report on the Angel Guest Star Situation.
Pretty much what was said before, just the official report.
"Sarah Michelle Gellar won't appear in the series finale of "Angel," the spinoff of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" in which she played the title role."
Just the official A.P. report about the SMG/Angel situation. Again, just pretty much what was said before.

It's a pity on one hand, but on the other I'm fine with it. I mainly wanted her reaction to seeing Spike alive. But that by itself is no reason for her to show up. And with Angel, I think they pretty much said it all with the cookie dough talk anyway.
Probably no chance of Faith showing up with Eliza in Tru's schedule. So now it'll probably be Tom Lenk, maybe Dawn, and perhaps Willow? (I can do without Dawn, btw. She has no history with the characters on Angel)

And I don't think anyone is to blame here for the timing. SMG couldn't do it when they were filming and it doesn't make any sense just to throw her in to have her in the final episode. She had initially said she wouldn't do it and they wrote the rest of the scripts for the rest of the season and then the WB decided not to renew Angel for next year. There were only about four episodes left to film by the time that happened and the plot for the season was already well established. I'm sure if they had had more time to manuever stuff they could've found a time that SMG would've been available but there just wasn't any time at all.
I'm just going to sit back and try and enjoy the remaining episodes of Angel. It's been a great season so far and I'm sure I won't be disappointed in the end.

Just have the whole 'verse continue, is all I ask.
(Well that and that they don't shanshu or kill either Angel or Spike)

Hehe yeah but we don't ALWAYS agree. Seriously, sorry. Yet again....
"We should start a pool and wager on which character will end up dead after the finale...Because you know it is going to happen...
Well since they were planning S6 and said they're not really changing anything I'm not really expecting any deaths. Besides Fred's already a casualty, I think I've had my fill of tragedy for this season.
