24 reasons Avengers & Masters of the Universe are the same movie. Not that there's anything wrong with that. A fun little entry in an ongoing series of trope analysis studies by Couch Tomato.

Yeah, but Masters of the Universe had a young, mulletted Tom Paris from Star Trek: Voyager (Robert Duncan McNeil) and Police Chief Daniels from Hill Street Blues (Jon Cypher). Didn't see either of them in Avengers.
I kinda had that same feeling the first time I saw the stand alone Thor movie. All the Asgard scenes looked similar to the Masters of the Universe home world, Eternia.
