(SPOILER) Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 finale 'S.O.S.' sneak peek #1. Skye talks with Jiaying in this clip from the finale that has way too many periods in its full title.

I didn't like the acronym thing for titles like "T.R.A.C.K.S.", but "S.O.S." is a real thing and "SOS" sounds like something I put on spaghetti. I'm okay with it here.
oooh Skye vs May fight mentioned... can't wait for that one alone and it's just the beginning of the episode (I'm guessing). This is going to be epic :))
I'm with you, Jason. I only want acronyms if they mean something.
I suspect the use of silly acronyms, where we never learn what they really mean, is part of a self-referential in joke, like we got with Ward/Coulson in the pilot. SHIELD means about as much as TRACKS or TAHITI do, and I wouldn't be surprised if SOS landed in the same boat. (And no, I don't put periods in acronyms, regardless)
