ABC, Fox just doomed 'Kingdom,' 'Wonderfalls'. This critic doesn't think much of Wonderfalls chances.

No one on this earth has a better last name than the person who wrote this article.
The only problem is that he makes it sound like Wonderfalls is going to be on Thursdays at 8, when it's actually Thursdays at 9. I don't think it's such a bad move myself. Anything is better than the Friday night death slot.
Well on friday no one watches TV apparently, and on thursday there's a lot of competition. I don't understand why they don't put it on monday. Been saying that for a while but oddly enough no one at the networks listens to my posts!!
For once, I think it's a good move on the part of Fox and might well save Wonderfalls. It's so different from CSI and The Apprentice, that it makes sense as counter-programming. No, it'll never get Top 10 ratings like these other ratings powerhouses, but it doesn't need to. It just has to pull in enough of the right numbers, in the demographics that Fox is hoping for with the Tru Calling lead-in (18-34 yr olds, presumably). If TC has survived this long, I think there's hope for Wonderfalls. And yes, anything is better than Friday night.
Me, I thought they were both being moved to 9, so I deleted the 2 Kingdom episodes from my TiVo. Dummy.
I also thought that Mondays would be best. There is nothing to watch Monday nights! But, Thursdays after Tru is a lot better than Friday nights. It doesn't matter to me personally which night Wonderfalls is on (except for if it clashed with Angel, thank Sky Bully it doesn't) because I don't have a life. But I do want more people to be able to watch it.

It's on tonight! Yay!

In Arizona, where this columnist writes, prime time starts at 7:00 p.m. Therefore, he was right - Wonderfalls is on at 8:00 p.m.
Wait, it's on thursdays from now on? That's so much more convienent for me... since everyone decided to shuffle around shows, and there's a thursday night void where Scrubs SHOULD be. But whatever.

Yay... now I just gotta... you know, remember to watch it a day earlier. I still havent done well with picking up Scrubs after it's move to tuesday.

Dont the tv people realize I base my life on their schedules?
Thursday is a lot better than Friday...if for no other reason then I don't have to be ashamed to tell my friends, "It's on Friday nights...at nine...when y'all are doing that hanging out thing that you always forget to invite me to..."

And--not to generalize or anything--but while "The Apprentice" and "CSI" are tough competition, I think they cater to a very different demographic...for one thing, I don't exactly hear all of the young folks (of which I am a part of) going on about these two shows. For another thing, the Tru and Wonderfalls pairing definitely has a Girl Power thing going for it, while CSI and The Apprentice have a bit more of a Guy Slant (Apprentice to a lesser degree, but still). Again, I know it's a rash generalization (heck, I'm a guy, and I'm choosing Wonderfalls tonight), but still something to think about...
Well gee, it's times like these that I'm happy as hell that I have Tivo. Seriously though, how did I live with out it?
Yeah I'm glad they moved it to Thursdays. It seems to me, in this case, like a good sign. I wouldn't have thought so if it weren't for the fact that they're keeping Tru Calling even though Tru Calling is up against all that competition and not getting great ratings - but I'm thinking Fox may not even be trying to compete on Thursdays, just get by. At least for now...
hee hee hee... still laughing at that Bill Goodykoontz thing... Don't mind my childish humor.
Thursday's are so much better than Fridays, although Mondays might be even better. Sure, lots of people watch CSI, The Apprentice, and Extreme Makeover, but Thursday nights are bigger TV nights in general.

VampiresSuckLOLOLGetIt - Did you read what Tim Minear said about viewer testing "Wonderfalls" episodes? Well, it turns out that the men actually liked the show significantly more than the women. Which I find odd, cuz "Wonderfalls" does seem to be on the feminine side.

But Tru and Wonderfalls do sort of fit together.
prufrock is right.
I'm so used to his name it doesn't even strike me as unusual anymore. He's a long time champion of Whedon shows, especially Buffy.
I hope this isn't off-topic.

I just received a card in the mail telling me that I've been chosen to become a Nielsen Family. Do I have to pass some sort of test?

I hope this will be a way for me to contribute to the ratings (for what that's worth), and yes I'll be watching Wonderfalls, and yes I'll be watching Angel (if Angel is aired at that time). And I'll be boycotting the WB except for Angel, which isn't that hard to do.
No electricspacegirl - normally an address is chosen at random in the selected area - and they are then contacted to see if they are willing to do it. Then it may take days or weeks before they deliver your box. Also even though it's great I hope you live in New York, LA or another big area so you rep more people so you will have more of an effect. If your in one of the smaller areas your viewing may not make any difference.
I'm in Portland, OR. It's a small city. The city itself has a population of 545,140 but we incorporate other towns into the metro area which has a population of 2,016,357. I don't know what that means in terms of Nielsen ratings though.

Just make sure your husband doesn't work for a radio station and you're a shoe-in. (That's what happened to me, why we got disqualified for Feb. sweeps).

Congratulations and watch good stuff!
I'm single, I have no children, I live alone and I don't work for the radio, TV or any media.

Congrats is right! I've been reading about the problems with Nielsen ratings due to the cancellation of Angel and I've been wishing to become a Nielsen family, not that it would make much of a difference, but it's something. I guess a little wish monster paid me a visit after all!

I only watch TV about 4 nights a week, an hour or two a night. I'll definitely be paying attention to what I watch and watching more than I do now. And I'm actually not sure if that's a good thing. Heh.
