Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stuntwoman Jessie Gradff was inspired by Buffy. Local article about a former Nebraska college student turned stunt woman (IMDB link). Not only did she want to be Xena or Buffy but she has worked on S.H.I.E.L.D., most recently for Bobbi Morse's stunts.

It looks like she's replaced Alicia Vela-Bailey as Adrianne Palicki's stunt double.
Who didn't want to be Xena and Buffy?
(still do)
I added a little detail to the Agents of SHIELD connection, since that is awesome. I often use Melinda May to motivate myself for self defense training. She has fallen down or gotten things wrong more times, I tell myself. Just keep trying. But I also think of Daisy Johnson when running, Xena when dealing with intimidating people, and Buffy when I'm struggling with anxiety. They are all great touchstones.
That's a lovely story. Love the Whedonverse, join the Whedonverse, kick butt. Her life is a t-shirt :)
Jessie is pretty incredible. I've seen her in person dominating the American Ninja Warrior Course, and she is something else. I hope to work with her outside of that show sometime. :)
Looks like she also did a lot of Parker's stunts on Leverage, so that's another Whedon-adjacent thing.

The article links to her stunt videos on youtube, and they're really cool--she is badass!
