Robert J. Kral confirms plans for Angel soundtrack. He tells the BBC Cult site "Fox has told us they would like to do an album" and that he's "reworking some cues [to make them] album length".

I'd like a proper Buffy score soundtrack album as well. And the last I heard about the Firefly album was that it may be available sometime via unconventional means i.e. Fox will put the tracks on the net to be available for download (not sure if there will be a cost involved).

Hooray! I'm looking forward to this, try as I might I've never been able to find any Angel score on the internet.

A Buffy score would be good too, the stuff from seasons 1-5 is great, as is the Robert Duncan stuff from season 7 (I know some of that is up on his site but it's not enough!

Anyway, if this does well maybe they'll do a Buffy one.
Cool. I agree that a Buffy Score album would be great. My favorites are "Sacrifice" and "Chosen (long version)".
Doesn't it seem a bit like, "OH! It's dying, let's milk it for all it's worth while it's still kicking a little."???
Speaking of music, I noticed some music from the most recent Buffy Video Game (which is possibly from the show) was used in last weeks advert for Tru Calling!
I want the Angel/Cordy love theme. That score gets to me every time I hear it.
I'll be buying this in a flash when it comes out. And a Buffy Score album would be great too. XandersTwin, I think the score from Chosen is on the "Radio Sunnydale" CD they released this year if you were looking for it. I stupidly haven't bought that yet.

I don't think it's a "milk it for all it's worth" kinda thing. I think it's just the network finally giving into Robert now that the show might be over. He's always been so enthusiastic about anything he's done. I remember he made like 20 posts on an Australian Buffy forum because "Miracles" was finally airing the entire season over here.

BTW, anyone else find that picture of Rob really scary...
Yeah, I have the Radio Sunnydale CD mostly *because* of the Chosen score music that's on it. I love that stuff. That's also what made the OMWF CD so great for me -- music from The Gift, Hush and Restless.

Can't wait for the Angel soundtrack! I definitely hope the theme(s) used for Darla are included.

That's funny. Maybe it'e just a coincidence. Rob Duncan, who did the score for most of BtVS season 7, does the score for Tru Calling, so it could be related to that.
If you search enough, there are ALOT of Christophe Beck scores around on the internet. I think i got most of them, they are really nice, especially the 20 minute season 2 megamix. I can't wait to hear this Angel collection. Has Kral scored all the seasons?
tvmoobunny, what is the name of that 20 minute season 2 megamix? I'd like to look for it.
Those that are interested - CoA is passing fan requests for the soundtrack to Kral and Fox the end of this week. Here is the link for info on how to submit:

What exactly is the score music that's on the 'Radio Sunnydale'? Cuz there are two mp3s of music from 'Chosen' (1 short, 1 long) available for free to download at Duncan's official site- Buffy score music by Robert Duncan (there's other stuff there as well). I don't know if its the same stuff as is on the album though.

I don't think the network has any say in it at all, or will get any money from it. It's all about Fox when it comes to merchandising, isn't it?
Sorry, used the wrong term. By network, I meant Fox.

And here's a list of tracks from the Radio Sunnydale CD. Only one score unfortunatley.
