Robert J. Kral confirms plans for Angel soundtrack.
He tells the BBC Cult site "Fox has told us they would like to do an album" and that he's "reworking some cues [to make them] album length".
I'd like a proper Buffy score soundtrack album as well. And the last I heard about the Firefly album was that it may be available sometime via unconventional means i.e. Fox will put the tracks on the net to be available for download (not sure if there will be a cost involved).

A Buffy score would be good too, the stuff from seasons 1-5 is great, as is the Robert Duncan stuff from season 7 (I know some of that is up on his site but it's not enough!
Anyway, if this does well maybe they'll do a Buffy one.

I don't think it's a "milk it for all it's worth" kinda thing. I think it's just the network finally giving into Robert now that the show might be over. He's always been so enthusiastic about anything he's done. I remember he made like 20 posts on an Australian Buffy forum because "Miracles" was finally airing the entire season over here.
BTW, anyone else find that picture of Rob really scary...

Can't wait for the Angel soundtrack! I definitely hope the theme(s) used for Darla are included.

That's funny. Maybe it'e just a coincidence. Rob Duncan, who did the score for most of BtVS season 7, does the score for Tru Calling, so it could be related to that.

"Doesn't it seem a bit like, "OH! It's dying, let's milk it for all it's worth while it's still kicking a little."???

I don't think the network has any say in it at all, or will get any money from it. It's all about Fox when it comes to merchandising, isn't it?

And here's a list of tracks from the Radio Sunnydale CD. Only one score unfortunatley.
