Tim Minear on the Succubus Club tonight. The former Angel, Firefly and Wonderfalls executive producer will be talking to Kitty and Candy and answering fans' questions this evening. The internet radio show starts at 6pm PT.

Won't be able to hear it live myself but in the light of Angel and Wonderfall's cancellation, I'm sure it will be well worth listening too.

Ooh! Thank you, Simon!

Looking forward to it!
On the the eastern coast the show starts at 9:00 PM. I always catch the last hour becuase Angel was always on at nine but now I can listen to the whole show for once.
I enjoyed this broadcast. I appreciated Tim's insights into the horrors of writing scripted drama for network tv these days. I hope he goes and pitches to HBO or Showtime as he suggested he might. Those premium channels and others like them are a great refuge for creative types interested in quality. Those channels aren't pushing any products except their own shows, either. Not soap, not cigarettes, not cars, not nada. Just the shows themselves. Damn right I'd pay for that.

Tim's insistence that reality tv as a genre isn't inherently "bad" was spot on. I hate the reality stuff I've seen but I get the point that it needn't be horrible. No creative genre is inherently bad -- okay, snuff films are an exception. Can't get behind those. Mostly I take issue with the cheesy set-ups and tragic, crass people who inhabit the reality shows that I've come across. I don't want to spend time with those people. I do want to spend time with Jaye and Angel and Wesley and Fred and Mal and Zoe and so on.
Best bit of the show -- Tim trying to convince Kitty and Candy that his production company is really called "ReamWorks" -- bwahahaha.
