January 03 2017

(SPOILER) Agents of SHIELD 4x09 Sneak Peek "Broken Promises." We return January 10th with a few upgrades.

Well they got right down to it. I guess this is what happens when you only have 7-8 episodes to get the job done.
There mystery pacing has gotten much better since S1 IMO. Reading the next few summaries on Futon Critic it seems like most lingering threads from the first half is going to be tackled pretty quick.
Out-of-control robots are terrifying (unless they're like the ones in AI, just trying to not be destroyed but also not harming any humans unnecessarily...which I suppose you could argue for Ada in this instance).

I'm glad they're not wasting any time, but...8 episodes, JDL ??? Isn't Season 4 a 22-episode season just like the first three seasons were ? So with 8 episodes having been spent on Ghost Rider, don't we have 14 remaining to tackle LMDs and Ada ? Or are we getting THREE arcs this year ? (that's amazing, if so)

Icing on the cake ? If it makes sense to do so, if elements from each of the arcs this year contributed to major repercussions and challenges and solutions in the Season 4 finale. Really bring it, AoS (this series has yet to let me down when it comes to season finales, with maybe the exception of the bulk of Season 2's ender -- the best thing about that was the messed up but bittersweet solution to Skye's dad).
@Kris -- I believe the showrunners have said that there will be three "pods" (or storyarcs) this year. The first was "Ghost Rider," the second is "LMD," and we don't know yet what the third will be.
