Deleted Scenes from "You're Welcome". Extracts from the shooting script.

You know, reading the "notes" of the person who posted this gave me insight into a world that I never knew existed. A world where Charisma Carpenter is the only reason for watching the show, this guy (whoever the hell he is) knew more about the real Cordelia than the writers of the show, and bizarrely anything in the scripts he likes was a "Minear contribution." Does anyone have any indication that Tim Minear contributed anything to the script in question? Or was it just in this guy's mind?

I'm sick and tired of the arrogant attitude some fans have towards the shows they like. They become so possesive of preserving the thing they love like a fly in the ember, that they become enemies of art. They don't want to see anything change or grow; they just want to see whatever it is they like about the show done over and over. Well, screw 'em.

Sorry about the rant but this guy really pissed me off.

As for the "deleted scenes" they look like part of an earlier draft to me. Practically everything changed was an improvement.
Re: Aforementioned site. Wow. And I thought *I* was bitter.

Makes me so so so happy I'm not a shipper.
I was thinking the same exact things while reading it. Personally, I REALLY liked it and was crying at the end, but then I'm a chick, we're allowed to cry at TV shows, hehe
Oh. My. God.

I, too, am sick and tired of the fanatical shipper crap. They give the rest of us a bad name.
I really liked the Angel & Wes in the car scene. I assume everything was either adapted or cut out for time, but other than the car scene, there's no big differences. Nice to see that sort of stuff though.
Son of Shadow--I agree that it's unfair to the story and the storytellers to put all your eggs in one character's basket. Makes it a little hard to see and appreciate the big picture.
In the comments to that post a number of people say that CC probably didn't know Cordy was going to die when she signed up for the episode. Yeah, right.
CC definitely knew ahead of time. If you read the interview with SMG.com, she talks about hard difficult her decision on whether or not to come back was to make, but she knew that it would be important to give closure to her character.

And Tim Minear would've been very busy with Wonderfalls when this ep was going on, so I seriously doubt he had anything to do with "You're Welcome."
This was my favorite comment right before the scenes were presented: "All I've ever watched were the scenes Charisma was in, so if the non-Cordy scenes were different, I don't know about it."

How can someone not like an episode if they haven't even seen the entire thing? Did this person simply fast forward through any non-Cordy scenes? I also doubt that Tim Minear had anything to do with the episode. As far as I know, he hasn't had any involvement with Angel since "Home" last season.
Can we please comment on the scenes themselves and not what the posters at the Strangers Things Forum said. Thank you.
Thank you, Son of Shadow, thank you.
"As far as I know, [Tim Minear] hasn't had any involvement with Angel since "Home" last season."

I can't remember all too well, but I think he might have helped develop the beginning of this season (I mean the general concept and first few episodes), but he certainly hasn't been a major force, especially later into the season.
