Morena Baccarin stars in Way Off Broadway. This indy film (pre-Firefly) is now making the rounds through different cities (in the US and Canada at present) and will be released on DVD soon, keep an eye out for it.

It has won at least numerous Audience Awards at the film festivals were it has been shown.

They have a distributor soanyone who has an arthouse or independant theatre in their town is ask to call the theatre and ask that the film be booked there. They are trying to get the word out.

I saw the film tonight and I liked it, I thought it was a nice independant film - that realy cannot be classified in to a specific genre or type.

You know, if this had been posted two days ago, I would not know who Morena Baccarin was. But on the strength of the positive discussions of Firefly on this board, I bought the DVDs this weekend. I did not know whether I would like the series, and I wasn't hooked with the pilot. But, wow, I got hooked with the subsequent episodes and have had a marathon session with those DVDs. Still have a disc and a half to go through -- but I realized how different my experience is from those who saw the series as broadcast. I can see why the series would not make sense broadcast out of sequence. And it is probably a very different experience seeing the characters first as Jasmine, Caleb, and Hamilton, rather than seeing them first on Firefly.

Anyway, thanks, RavenU, for this posting. I will be looking forward to this film on DVD (no chance in heck it will come close to my town). It looks very interesting, and Morena Baccarin is such an appealing performer.
