'Lineage' shooting script signed by Drew Goddard up for auction. Some say it's still the best episode of Angel season 5 so far.

It's highly unlikely that we will find out out anymore about the cyborg assassins but it would be nice to think that in season 6, there would have been a major plot arc revealing who was behind the cyborgs.

For example it could have been:

David Nabbit
Renegade Watchers Council Members
The Order of Aurelius
Remmants of The Initiative
or The Scooby Gang themselves.

I thought Lineage was a great episode, but I'm also glad that the cyborgs haven't been back. They left such a "B movie" taste in the back of my mouth, in a way that is somehow unmatched by the regular appearances of vampires, zombies, werewolves, or skinny grey slave demons whose readily-available blood makes a delightful blue cocktail.

(Come on. Tell me I'm not the only one who wants another appearance of the slave demon.)
Loved the creepy cocktail demon.... now there's a spin off... Lorne rescues him from slavery & partners with him to open a new Caritas?

That would be very cool to throw sweet, innocent & rich David Nabbitt into this mix - I wonder how he'd handle of all this moral ambiguity...
I wish we'd find out about the cyborgs. Damn that Levin to hell and back! It fascinated me that they might be White Hats whose mysterious masters thought Angel et al. were Black Hats.

My vote would be that the cyborgs' masters were renegade Watchers Council Members. The Watchers Council's tactics have often been not so nice. And they did try to turn Wesley against Angel back in season one. It seems fitting that they'd go for Wesley again as the weak link in season five, but with a cleverer tactic, i.e., using Wesley's "father."
Does anyone else wish that just perhaps to give Lorne more screen time this season they could have thrown Billy Idol and Barry Manillow in one show along the way. It was just a thought I had, cause it would have made sence for those people to have dealings with W&H entertainment division. Also it would have been a perfect opportunity to bring back that woman who played the actress in Season 1 to be cutting a deal with the firm, her whole youth and beauty thing, ok not to mention give Andy a little more to do this season and for Andy's benefit throw in a Patti LaBelle guest appearance, heck BTVS gave Ashanti a shot at acting (which was in someways painful to watch). I would have like to see a scene with Angel meeting Barry and Lorne or Billy and Lorne running into Spike - just to add some more comical moments to the season. Or maybe it just what I would have like to have seen.
I would have loved to have seen Barry Manilow or Billy Idol, and a Billy Idol bumping into Spike in the hallway would've been a blast to see as they just stop and look at each other. Spike would probably stand there quietly for a minute and just say "Yeah, right then" and just walk away as if nothing funny just happened.

And then to see Angel getting all "I'm your #1 fan" and acting all gushy and nervous would've been just as hilarious. They could show Angel drag Barry Manilow back to his apartment and drag out his entire Barry Manilow record collection and ask him to sign them.
I agree with Galvatron in that I'm glad the cybrogs didn't become a prominent plot line cuz, frankly, that could very easily be rather lame-ish.

That said, I wish we could find out who sent the cybrogs too, and my vote goes to the former watchers, though David Nabbit would have been a cool explanation too.
I thought Lindsey and Eve were behind the cyborgs.
