Fox.com announces streetdate for Angel Season 4(R1) DVD: 09/09/2004.

Hi Foobeka - you need to link to the Fox.com website to post this. Good news though and thanks for the info.
thanks blwessels. It was my first post let me know if I did it alright.
I don't see anything about season 4 on that site. Does someone have a more direct link?
if you go to show all dvd titles and then scroll all the way down it has the coming soon dvds.
Since this is an international board you might also add what region this relates to. I'm guessing it's the North American Region - I think it's already been released outside of here. The US/Canada area is Region 1, UK/Europe is Region 2, Japan is Region 3, and Austrailia is Region 4. Then you might want to alter the link to the article from tvshowsonDVD site.

You did good Foobeka - don't worry, it won't take you long to figure out how to post and what to put with it. And again, thanks for the info!
I edited the link text to make it a little more descriptive than just 'fox.com'.
There is doubt that this is the correct release date as 9/9 is not a Tuesday. Here's the link to a story at tvshowsondvd with speculation about what the real release date might be.
What does it being on a Tuesday have to do with anything? Possibly it was moved to Thursday 9/9 since Monday 9/6 is Labor Day, which maybe affects shipping?
As the article explains, new releases are almost always on Tuesdays. That's the case even when the Mondays preceding them are holidays. If it is a ship date for Fox to retailers, then that really only has relevance internally. Chances are, you won't be able to show up on 9/9 and buy the set, unless it's actually supposed to come out the week before, of course.

In any case, I'm guessing that it's safe to assume that we'll see it at some point in September, which seems to be about right on schedule. I'm looking forward to it (and I'm also hoping that they rush season five out a bit more quickly than would be expected).

Williamthebloody, It's a good observation that the Monday before is Labor Day, but I use to work at a Suncoast and the reason Monday's being a holiday never affects the release date is because retailers usually get their DVD's a week in advance...that's why sometimes if you go into Wal*Mart the Tuesday before the release date you can sometimes find them out...someone let it slip out not realizing that the street date was a week later. That's what happened for me with Angel: season 3, it was a nice birthday present...so always check Wal*Mart a week before and you might find a little surprise!
