HIV-positive man talks about his cultural connection to Buffy. He talks about the ups and downs of being HIV-positive in today's society, and mentions the connection he felt toward Buffy in Season 6 when she returned from the dead.

"Having faced death with convulsive howling on day two, I consumed Buffy like it was chocolate."

I thought this was a touching statement on a season that a lot of people found to be to dark for their liking but others found comfort in something they saw as familiar.

Really interesting reading. I find it remarkable how often BTVS just pops up in things, from This American Life to the Altercation blog.
