Angel Finale to Be Rerun? on May 25, at 8 PM (not 9 PM) EST? So says Yahoo.

Is it "reran?" Cuz that really doesn't sound right. But neither does "rerun."

Also, note that this is a Tuesday.
So, what? They cancel the show and then decide to see if it does well on another night?

Not that I'm complaining about extra Angel air time at the 11th hour and 59th minute, here. It's just the way this typifies the complete ass-backwardsness of their entire programming strategy re: AtS that drives me out of what's left of my mind.

And funny as it looks, I think 'rerun' is correct(er).
Oh how I have missed a Whedon show in that time slot on Tuesdays.
Isn't this the Buffy timeslot?
Yup. Wonder if they'll do a "thanks for 5 years" like they did when Buffy ended?
According to my TiVo, the finale is being rerun on the following Tuesday.

This just in: WB Network Programmers Smoking Crack
According to my fiancee, it's rerun. And who I am to argue?
"According to my fiancee, it's rerun."

'K, cool. Good to know.
grr...arrgh
so the finale will be next week? hmm...or are they going to show the finale next week and then re-run it(show it again) maybe i am just being a blonde and missing the whole thing....:p
With things like EasyView, the WB has gotten into this habit of replaying new episodes in other times of the week. They're making a point to refer to new episodes as 'fresh' ones, which I find insulting personally but I'm probably alone in that.

This repeating of 'fresh' episodes within a week or so of playing them is partly just to fill up airtime but also to squeeze as much money as they can out of the programming from advertisers. It's not an attempt to see if a show does better or worse on a particular day. WB doesn't seem to work that way so much. One of the reasons why Angel is not being renewed is because unlike some shows like Seventh Heaven and One Tree Hill, Angel doesn't do very well in repeats or 'reruns' like this, which means they can't charge as much for reruns of Angel when they turn to advertisers.
ZachsMind-- You're not alone in you evaluation of WB's awful episode label. I am of the opinion thay've little right to use the word "fresh," given that they insist on having a line-up that is largely the antithesis of "fresh." Angel's among the minority of their offerings that could be considered fresh, so, clearly they failed to understand what that word actually means.
Ok, so when does an "encore" repeat become a "rerun"? Is it only an "encore" when a repeat is shown within a week of the original broadcast? What is it called when the networks show repeats at mid-season? Apart from "stale," that is. All these degrees of "freshness" are becoming confusing, not just annoying.
