Fury posts on the Beta.
Not much new although he reveals that DeKnight will be on Smallville next season... (also posts from Robert Kral, Joss Whedon and Steve DeKnight).
Go and and scroll for the posts in slight blue ...
Well, I must away. Take care, all. It's been fun. Enjoy ALIAS next year with Bell and Goddard,
SMALLVILLE with DeKnight and THE SHIELD with Craft and Fein.
Ben Edlund and I will be opening a little ladies apparel boutique in Carmel next year. Hope you'll all patronize our little shop.

A few more items from Flashback Weekend ....
* David on Sunday talked about moving from Buffy where he just stood around looking mysterious, helping save the day, kissing the girl and such, with only a few pages of actual dialouge. Then going on to Angel where he is not only in 95% of the scenes but he's speaking. (At this point to illistrate he pretended to open a Buffy script in front of him and flip a few pages and then he pretended to open and Angel script and just kept flipping the pages). It was quite funny.
* Elizabeth said they cut her arc short in season 6 of Buffy cause UPN didn't like the whole drug/magic addiction line they thought it was going to dark. For her part Elizabeth thought if she had stayed she would have liked to have had a Tara-Willow-Amy triangle thing. Also Elizabeth cannot eat cheese she lactose intollerant (well I guess no milk ads for her), although she did become buddies with her counterpart Mike (the rat).
* When both Elizabeth and Stephaine were ask if they could change places for a day and become another character who would they like to be - both of them said they would have loved to have been DRUCILLA.
* Elizabeth said the most fun she had was the fight between Amy and Buffy, cause SMG and her worked on it all day (she threw a punch while talking about it - but then said to paraphrase, "Well not a punch like that cause that was lame.")
* CK said toward the end of season 2 he was tired of the fake hand so much he begged Minear to kill him. (Funny side - David has the fake hand).
* Stephaine also mentioned that the scene were CK grabbed her backside, had to be shot numerous times cause for some reason CK kept messing up. :) She also noted that although she was not really disturbed by it - the rest of the cast and crew acted differently when she was in the beaten woman makeup from 'Billy'. The most disturb she had been was during the scene were Lilah's about to get her head chopped off by Wes, she thought it was strange cause that was a cast of her her on the table when he did it - so she really did see her get her head chopped off.
* None of the actors go online that much, however the writers as we know do. Well Elizabeth told the story of how she was called into Joss's office once during Season 3 and how when she walked in Joss looked up from his computer and told her the fans hated her hair and then proceeded to show her all the post concerning her hair. She could not believe people would even notice (since she was not a regular) let alone care enough to talk with others about it. :)

Why is this starting to look like Season 6 of Buffy?
Goddard and Bell on Alias, I've gotta see that. I've got a friend who's a big fan of Alias, but never cared for Buffyverse series (she did dig a bit of Firefly, though), even despised the fantasy aspects of them, actually mostly because of it.
I always had hard time convicing her about the beauty of the metaphor, and sort of things related about how real they are even though a lot of things are very surreal or unreal. She's kinda of skeptic about them joining the Alias team. Me? I keep wishing that they might infuse some Mutant Enemy-ish stuff into it (hey, they even got into that "hey, Sydney go a younger sister stuff"), and maybe fix several problems that occured in current season.
Another common acquaintance of our even joked, that maybe J. J. Abrams should try a musical episode over there too.
I was never a big fan of Bell's work, but Goddard, I've been a fan since his very first BtVS episode, Selfless, one of the best season 7 episodes, IMHO.
It's difficult to grasp the end. Haven't watched "Not Fade Away" yet, I'm d-ing it right now (hey, I can't be blamed for THE WB demographics, I don't even live in the US. Right here , in the South Hemisphere we're still on "Soul Purpose" which was shown the day before yesterday).
It's going to be strange looking for a new season with nothing from Joss on the air, specially after these almost 10 years. I practically grew to adulthood along with it. At least we know where to find some of the people who made these 8 years so great.

Which is probably why my wife and I flipped off the 'Your friends at the WB' thing tonight. Because we're vengeful and petty.

I will probably watch Alias for Bell and Goddard, but Smallville only for the DeKnight-penned episodes.I'm no fan of some of the "acting" on the few episodes I have watched, but if it means he has a job already, good for him. It's kind of like working in the belly of the beast for real.
