Showtalkers Finale Show Up. Commentary for the "Angel" finale is up.

The ones they did at the beginning of the season were pretty good, but they stopped, and this is their last TV show commentary I think.

Can't say whether this is good or not, haven't seen the episode yet, bloody slow download.

I definitely disagree with their assessment that this was an "eh" season of Angel. This was a monumentous, amazing season that made leaps and bounds over the four before it. By far my favorite year of the show, and the finale was beautiful.

It felt thrown together? Lorne was a little bitch? Arrrgh. I forgot how much Showtalkers annoyed me until I listened to this.

I have to say that I hadn't listened to this when I posted it, if I had, I wouldn't have bothered.

An "eh" season indeed, idiots.

In a way it was worth it for their Charmed bashing, and their praise of Whedonesque, this is the ultimate site. Also, unless he was wrong, there's a seventh episode of Wonderfalls out there, just after I made my DVD, ah well.

There have been times when I agreed with the gang at Showtalkers and times when I disagreed. Ultimately I think it's important that they bothered to record their shows at all. It's an idea for an audio format program that can't be found elsewhere, and for me it fits a niche. I stopped listening to them when Buffy ended. Perhaps I should now go back and try to find their older shows. They started talking about stuff on cable that I don't watch, and with Anel now gone, I don't know if there's anything in what I watch that will match their interests, but even when I disagree I still like their show. A for effort and all that.
Don't waste your time. I listened to the first few minutes of this, and found that I disagreed with most of their points:
-this was not an "eh season" of Angel. Rather, this was one of the best.
-there was no need to see more of Illyria taking out her targets. Rather, showing her walking away from the ruined car was more effective-- the imagined carnage is much greater than anything team Angel could have put on screen.
-Lorne should not have "shot Lindsey more, in the head"-- while he may be a "whiny little bitch," shooting Lindsey was so far out of character, that it's not surprising that this task so upset the mean green singing machine. Lorne didn't fit in Pylea because he was not a champion-- he's a singer, not a fighter...

Then, I had better things to do, so I didn't listen further.
Thanks all, I'm not going to bother with this one after reading all your comments, got the drift of what they are all about and no need to get myself all worked up and angry. I'm peeved about the Lorne being a bitch part just enough. That was a great scene, exactly the way it was portrayed. Nothing would've made it better and the whole part with Lindsey being stunned that it was Lorne who did him in and how it insulted him that it wasn't Angel was priceless. And Andy Hallet was brilliant in his dejected performance. Wouldn't change a thing about any of the episode.
A point of clarity for Showtalkers lovers/haters: the one thing that will endure is the fact that whether or not we like certain episodes, we will always love Angel & Buffy as a whole. Will I personally re-watch the episode that I didn't like? Absolutely, and I'll be first in line to buy the DVD.

Whedon's universe is what started our BuffyRadio/Showtalkers project, and for that we're grateful. There's nothing else quite like it.
