Zap2It Confirms That Marti Noxon's "Still Life" Will Not Air. "We don't put shows on our schedule that we ultimately feel don't have the juice behind them to work," Berman insists. "That's just a fact of life. It happens at every network. I don't know that ours is more than anybody else's."

Yeah, bring on the reality! /snark

"'The Littlest Groom,' hey, I don't know. Maybe we'll do that one again. That was kinda fun."

It is obvious to me that Gail Berman died at some point in the past 8 years, and now an ancient demon has shacked up in her old house. That can be the only explanation.
Yeahhh.....well that's okay Berman. WE all know it happens to Fox more than anybody else.

Although the WB is hot on yer heels here.

I just find it amazing how many shows get so far in development, have all that money spent on them and then never even air a pilot. How do they stay in business?

And isn't it sad how many former Buffy people have it so tough? Nick Brendon's sitcom not picked up. Aly's sitcom not picked up. Carisma's show not picked up. Marti's show not picked up. Wonderfalls is axed. Doug Petrie's Lost in Space dead before they begin. Eliza with her struggling 'Tru' is one of the lucky ones!

I was just about to post the same quote MindPieces, one can only hope she was joking.
I can't even remember what 'Still Life' was supposed to be about. Can anyone help?
From imdb.com - Plot for 'Still Life'

Jake Morgan is murdered on his first day as a cop. A year later, we return to his family and discover how each family member is reacting and recovering from their loss, with Jake as our narrator. His mother has resumed her dream of running for office, his dad is trying to rediscover his love of life, while his brother Max is trying to find himself. Jake's two younger sisters are trying to make sense of their lives without their brother. Still Life looks to be some great television.

Morena Barracin (Inara from Firefly) was set to star in this series as Maggie. As well as Jonathan Woodward (Knox).

god, what a waste
Morena Bacarrin and Jonathan Woodward?! Arrrgh, now I'm even more upset.

As much as they annoy me, Fox does have more shows that I watch than any other network. I don't watch anything on CBS, UPN or NBC, and only one show a piece on ABC and The WB (now that Angel is gone). I guess the network does get things right sometimes, it's just far too rarely.
