Also, I think the fact that there were never any complete seasons of BtVS or Angel released on VHS in North America is a very good thing. Before the DVDs hit, a lot of fans wouldn't have wanted to wait and would've snatched up the tapes...then complained later about feeling compelled to spend more money on the superior DVD releases.

Only problem with R2 sets and British screenings of American TV, (I've started noticing it this year as I've been downloading the majority of the American shows I watch) is that the sound is slightly faster, I only notice it during the theme tune, but it sounds so much better at the correct speed.

We have to wait at least five months after the USA start their run in the season (in the UK anyway. Plus, I'm pretty sure that there are a lot less issues with releasing them over here, contract or something. I remember reading something about it in an article a couple of years ago
I have never waited in the case of Buffy, (without Sky you have to wait even longer) and it means that I have got the run of episodes before BBC air them. With Angel, you've got quality websites like Angels Acolyte to give me a detailed summary and screen caps.
Also, can we hear it for BBC Cult! It is one of the definitive news and interview sites and save WHEDONesque can't be beaten in terms of quality!
