Official Serenity Movie Web Site. The Official Serenity Movie Web Site has gone live! Join up, earn points and read the official blog. Too gorram cool!

It has now officaly sunk in. This movie is going to happen! It's indescribable how excited I am!
Looks like Firefox users will have to load IE to display the site properly. Is it too much to ask that professional sites be coded to work in Mozilla? Argh.
Hmm. i'm on IE and some of the images on the site won't load for me. Anyone else?
It mainly works for me in Opera 7.51. A few of the images aren't loading, but I can navigate fine so far.
I can't get a few of the images either.
Yeah some images won't load for me either. Guess it's my leprechaun-zebra 2.356.......

Okay so I have no idea what you guys are on about. Those script lingos? Like Java?

Anyhoo cool that the site is up although design wise they could have done a lot more with it. Kinda bare-bones there.

And does anyone have any musings on who 'Dusty' is? Certainly not Joss, and I doubt it's Nathan or Adam. Sounds really like some motivational speaker guy. So could be his mysterious identity is just a gimmick and this is some production assistant.

Heh....would be funny if it was Summer....
None of the images load on MSIE and you can't see they don't load in Firefox. The images are sitting in a directory that we've no access to.

I better shut up now and say 'yay, there's a site.'
Looks like Firefox users will have to load IE to display the site properly.

I use Firefox and am not having any problem viewing the site. Hope you get it figured out.
Ah the red X of death, so much for IE 6. And oh joy, prizes can only be given to those in North America *grrrrr*. Ah well, small sour grapes really.
You can only get prizes in North America? Dammit! I hate living in the UK, I want my Serenity merchendise! Good that there's finally a website, suppose the next big thing to wait for is a trailer.
And action figurines!
Shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny shiny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
Most days I yearn to live in Holland or England or Spain.

But not today!

:)
I'm using Firefox and have no problems viewing the site either. Weird.
I noticed the "Prizes only for those living in North America" but it doesn't ask for any confirmation when registering except a vague "City" and "Country". So say North America and cross that bridge when you come to it. I have friends in the US and Canada who would be happy to recieve a jucy prize and post it on to me. And if I win a set visit or tickets to the premier I'll just have to practise my American accent. "I'm just a friend of Zaaanderrrrr....."
Dusty Bottoms = Chris Buchanan (well that's what I reckon anyway).

And speaking of Mr Buchanan, this is what he had to say about the site at the old Firefly forum:

Howdy Browncoats,
OK, so all the rumors are, well, not rumors -- www.serenitymovie.com is now open for business.

Version 1.0 is a down-to-earth site much like SERENITY herself, not too many frills, but enough of the essentials to get you through another day.

The site is there today as a tribute to the Firefly fans. Not for the millions of soon to-be-loving-SERENITY people who will one day call themselves "Browncoats" (knocking loudly on wood), just the original, "I taped every episode on Friday night while most civilized folks had better things to do" Firefly family. So enjoy it. Use it. Make it into your own. Give Universal lots of feedback via the site telling them what works and what doesn't, what you need more of and how best to spread the word about SERENITY. I can promise you that they are listening.

I look forward to the day when www.serenitymovie.com receives its 1,000,000th post. Kudos on an incredible accomplishment, kids.

Keep Flyin'
Buchanan

Bless Chris Buchanan for working his ass off to get that board together, for negotiating with Fox to keep the old forum alive all this time, and for encouraging fans to sign on as extras.
Only problem i'm having with the site is that the images on the blog page aren't coming up, other than that it's working fine for me on Internet Explorer.
Someone tell Chris we'd love to give feedback, but the feedback link on the homepage doesn't work. Stylesheet's not loading either.
LOL - ok so Universal didn't assign their A team to this site. As I always say, launch & learn. I'm sure the web developers are feverishly working on the fixes... I just tried in Opera & IE & had no issues.
Anyone else having problems registering? I clicked on the link from my email and put in my password and it said that that wasn't my password... I even copy/pasted what the email said was my pw...

Any suggestions?

/edit/ Nevermind. Got it to work..

Maybe the semi-working rustic-ness is intended to evoke an authentic Serenity era atmosphere....
(meow!)
Yeah, we don't get those good Alliance Apache servers out here on the rim...
Maybe we need some rogue hacks
Nice to see the site given a good Slashdotting. Hope all those hits'll make Universal happy.
