Tru Calling To Be Replaced in 2005 on Australia's Channel Seven?
Poor ratings of both Miss Match and Tru Calling and generally may force the Seven Network to replace these shows with more 'appealing' programmes.

They may not even show season two if ratings dont improve, they certainly didn't stick with Alias despite it having better ratings for them.
Sorry Eliza, i tried to like it, i really did, but as far as this show goes it's a case of "can i have a side of bland with that bland"!

Well you're certainly optimistic. I agree they finally went to some new places with that show, but I wonder if next season is simply going to be Tru and Jack both running around town trying to beat each other to the future corpse.

Hey now, I....I'm ...still trying to like it. It's kinda.....they really try to.....Ah who am I kidding, you're right. But it's a whole lotta bland with Eliza in it....and sometimes she runs....in slo mo.....hmmmmm Eliza......ghrrlrhlhlhlhl

EdDantes, you just hit the nail squarely on the head as to why i gave Tru Calling as long as i did before giving up on it altogether.
Not only Eliza, but Eliza running ... and sometimes bouncing!
You would think that alone would make for a good tv show but i guess i must be growing as a person, hehe.

Buffy had always been pushed to the 10:30 time-slot, and while it did get good ratings and loyal viewers willing to stay up and put up with the weeknight changes, it could have done so much better if they'd actually put a little more effort into promoting it.
It's been even worse for Angel, moving all over the place, especially recently in it's perhaps best season yet. I reckon I've missed about 2 episodes worth because of unshceduled time-slot changes. And to make it even worse, it's been put after shows like Celebrities Uncensored at 11:30 on a Thursday! Channel Seven, you suck.
And I won't even mention Stargate, they played half the latest season, which would be about two behind the US, and then just gave up on it altogether. I had no idea it was even on. : (

Oh well. We're guys. What're you gonna do;-) I have a good understanding with my wife on this. She drools over James Marsters and I drool over Eliza. And we understand each other's drooling. Needless to say, one of our favorite scenes is Spike and Faith having their basement conversation. Come to think of it, our names are 'Cellar Dweller' and 'Rogue Slayer' so that's actually kind of obvious probably......anyway......ahem....
And Kaivaal, it's funny. I live in Los Angeles, but I'm from Holland originally. My mom still lives there and is a Buffy and Angel fan, and she's had similar problems with ridiculous scheduling. They suddenly started showing Angel S4, starting with Angelus' return. Then they follow it up until Jasmin is born, and then the next week.....they started with Angel S2....
Yeah. To say mom was confused is an understatement. Then they finished out S2 aaall the way to Pylea....and then they went back to Angel S4 with Jasmin again.
Btw, all the while changing timeslots and days, ranging from wednesday at 8 to saturday at midnight! And showing Buffy S7 as well, sometimes next to it, sometimes with it, leaving out eps, suddenly starting over etc. Big mess.
Is it so hard to just broadcast things how they should be broadcast? Apparently so. Now they have Firefly there, and the order of eps is a mess. And not even the same as Fox's...no it's pretty much completely random. My sister thinks they just chuck in a tape every week without checking anything at all.

Hear you all on the scheduling thing. Just found out last night that two of our good friends - also allegedly Buffy/Angel fans - *have never seen* seasons one and two of Buffy, chiefly because the way the story has been turned around so much on TV, they didn't know what they were missing. Also because they're not obsessed (is that the right word?) enough to check things out or buy DVDs. Needless to say, I am deeply envious of them, S1 and 2 virgins. I'd love to be watching them again for the first time.

Because we want a little more than a 24 hour a day schedule of reality shows, cheesy soaps and chat shows we are considered strange and therefore unworthy of decent treatment by the networks and television channels throughout the world.
So you see, it's our own faults really, if only we were more normal and fell in line with the majority of mindless sheep everyone would then be happy.
Simple really! ;)

Cool, heheh. And hey, it's not like the Buffster leaves me cold....*grin*. And my wife has a whole separate thing for Giles. That 'older guy-mentor' thing apparently, hehe. But for pure 'Ro-OWRrr' yeah, Spike and Faith kinda beat the rest for us.

Yeahh....'nerds' and 'geeks'. That's us. We actually want stories that are good, and interesting and original and daring. We must be mad. Don't we want to see what bachelor gets voted off this week? Or who can eat the most worms?
Ugh.....now I'm depressed....

I mean come on, they put on shows like this with little warning on a Friday night. Against the football. Yes, that's smart.
Buffy had always been pushed to the 10:30 time-slot, and while it did get good ratings and loyal viewers willing to stay up and put up with the weeknight changes, it could have done so much better if they'd actually put a little more effort into promoting it.
I remember when they actually advertised Buffy. And it was on at 7:30 pm. Then I think half way throuhg S2, it ended up at 10:30. WTF? At least Angel isn't on at 11:30 anymore.
