IMDB salutes the baddest action heroes. and guess who's got pic number 1????

nevermind the not-so-honorable mentions a la XXX. one of the other pics has AtS' Gwen for the Riddick flick.

Yep, you know you're in the big time when you're up there with TJ Hooker and Lara Croft.
Heh. And weren't some of them obscure? Somebody sure likes Buster Crabbe! And Roy Rogers an action hero? I guess for his time maybe.

Still, for Buffy to be numero uno warms my heart. What about Angel though, was he there? I only went through about the first 30 or 40. How many were there?
I didn't go to far either but if you hit the previous button at the Buffy page it has the last one. I can't remember what the number was. But Buffy was number one! Yay!! I did see Wonder Woman. Couldn't they have picked a better picture for her?

But wasn't that a picture of the Buffybot and not Buffy getting ready to fight Glory?

it's still SMG, and she's talented, and she portray's Buffy, either way, YAY!
Yep blwessels you are right, it was the bot with the Dagon Sphere. AND I thought the very same thing about WW... where's a publicity still when you need one? That one looked like a candid on-set or something.
Oh, she's a hero allright!
"I'm Buffy. The Vampire Slayer, and you are?!"
Yep, she is my hero too.

I noticed that she is the only one girl in the first ten,
which includes for some reason two James Bonds (both Sean
Connery) and two Tarzans :)
Blwessels, relating to your point about it being the Buffybot and not the slayer herself in that picture, has anyone else noticed the fact that for the final two years of Buffy the series, the two UPN years in fact, the last shot of Buffy in the opening titles wasn't actually Buffy either. For season six it was the Buffybot and then for season seven it was the First.

Hmmmmmmm :)
Warlock, are you sure it was the Buffybot in season 6?
Yep, i remember the scene they used. It was definately the 'Bot. SMG was wearing the same outfit and had her hair the same way as you see it in the pic used at the link above.

Main reason i remember is that it always occured to me how strange it was to use an image of, technically, the wrong character for the final "Buffy shot" two seasons on the run.

Not that big a deal i guess but a mildly interesting point anyway ;)
I noticed that too Warlock and thought the same thing. That's why I noticed it was the Buffybot in this picture too. They picked Buffy as number one and there are a ton of great shots they could've used of SMG as Buffy and I thought it was funny that the shot they chose wasn't actually Buffy.
Screencaps of the series 1-7 introductions can be found on this website.

It kind of makes sense that S6 would end in the Buffybot and S7 would end with Buffy as the First. All the pictures selected to appear in the intros tell a bit of the character's storyarc to date.
Didn't Joss say in some commentry that the intro/credits pictures didn't mean anything, he just chose the pics that he thought were pretty?
No offense meant to Sarah, she's a beautiful girl, but if that's so, he chose that one to end the season six credits with? She has her head tilted like it's practically broken, which is not the most flattering of images, and it looks strangely bot-like...but then that was the point at the time, and I'm not so sure if I have one myself any longer.

Have to say my favourite Buffy end shot would be the one taken from the middle of the fight/chase scene in Anne. Therefore used at the end of the credits in season three (possibly four).

Now that is Sarah at her most gorgeous!
