David Boreanaz to appear in 'Fantastic Four' movie? An anonymous source has told Cinescape that the Angel star has met with the movie's creative team. The website does advise its readers that this could be false info.

And if there was any justice in the world, Alexis Denisof would be playing Reed Richards.

Interesting. I can't think of who he'd play though. Actually, could, he be up for Doctor Doom? We all know how good he plays evil? That's the only FF villian I know. Spider-Man and X-Men are my forte.
Doesn't Doctor Doom have a german accent...?

We all know that would lead to badness.

Whilst there are a whole bunch of Fantastic Four big bads that could be the villain of the movie i'd bet my house on the fact that it will be Doc Doom. He is to the FF what Magneto is to the X-Men and the Green Goblin is to Spidey so for the first movie i would say that him being around is a no brainer.

Wonder if they are considering DB as Reed? He is way too old to play Johnny and Sue is obviously not available for him :)

That would only leave Ben and there is no reason why he couldn't play him in his human form although it would be a relatively small part as i should think there will be a CGI Thing for most of the movie. After that the part would be mostly voice work.

Guess we will have to see how this develops, if at all.
I bet its just a pooper scooper, sombody giving in faulse stuff about more stuff...
I'd think DB would want to get away from characters who are trying to save the world.
It's funny because I've thought for several years that Alexis Denisof would be the perfect Reed Richards. If any of you have read the classic John Byrne run on the series, Alexis IS the Reed Richards Byrne drew. That said, DB would not be a bad choice at all for Doom.
Simon: "And if there was any justice in the world, Alexis Denisof would be playing Reed Richards."

Absolutely, just put a little grey around the temples, and he'd be perfect. David would be terribly miscast as Richards.

And, I think he'd be *so* wrong as Victor von Doom (and wasted--the mask, remember)...but I think he'd be a magnificent Galactus.
Thing is going to be done using practical effects, much like how they created Hellboy and Abe Sapien in the "Hellboy" movie. In fact, the folks who worked on the makeup in "Hellboy" will be doing the Thing. No CGI there, thank God.

That said, I think the Boreanaz rumor is BS. Unless they are throwing in a supporting character that didn't previously exist in the books. That's always a possibility. Not to bring up "Hellboy" again, but the Agent Myers character was created specifically for the movie, and never existed in the books.
Yeah, this rumor has an overwhelming scent of eau-de-poopie hanging all around it.

I'll believe it when I see an official press release, or a more trustworthy source.
Well, it appears that the official FF cast was recently announced, and there's no David Boreanaz in the mix. You can check out the article here:

Fantastic Four Cast

I'm officially unexcited.
Ioan Gruffudd as Mr Fantastic.
Oh yeah, he sure is. Sigh.
Michael Chiklis is perfect for The Thing.
