Laurel Holloman's first film finally out on DVD. The Incredibly True Adventures of Two Girls in Love (1995), a romantic comedy and a lesbian coming-of-age flick. See Laurel's first queer role -- very different from The L-Word.

You never saw Laurel Holloman as such a cute baby butch before. This is her first film, and she is precocious, cute, and sexy all at one, setting herself up for a great career. The love story is light, not too angsty, with some truly funny moments, and is definitely for the viewer longing for a non-jaded view of love.

I first saw this film on VHS when it came out, and it was definitely memorable, enough to make me want to see it again.

I love this movie! I saw it like 3 times in the theater. When I learned that Justine from Angel was "Randy" in The Incredibly True Adventures, I was stunned. I honestly still cannot tell they are the same person.

I recommend this movie to anyone. It's really cute and sweet and funny...and quite sexy.
I second that recommendation :)

Caught this movie several years back on cable for the first time, and really it *is* rather adorable and filled with many giggles.
I agree, electricspacegirl. It is really hard to tell they are the same person. Randy, Tina, and Justine are all incredibly different characters (no pun intended). This really shows Laurel's acting range (not to mention that she is sexy in all three roles, but in different ways).
Well, I'm mostly talking about appearance, but the acting is quite different too.
Unable to remember what role Laurel played in the Whedon-verse, I searched and came across an overview of some of the work she's done:

Speaking of Laurel's presence on Angel, the writer explains how “Whedon narrowly averted my complete contempt with this masterstroke of casting.”

Don't know why, but I was surprised at how much stuff Laurel has done outside of Angel.
