Eliza as the Black Cat in Spider-Man 3? At the end of the article, it says that she's still rumored to be the favorite for the role.

I know it's a small mention, but I'm just curious what people would think of her in the role. I don't know anything about the character, but if the outfit is like the one here, that gets my immediate approval.

'Hotdog' Magazine has a lot to answer for. That's where the rumour came from way back October last year from what I can remember.
Yep, I remember that. I hope E! got their info elsewhere, though, since I do doubt the credability of a magazine called Hotdog, although maybe it is a credible source. I've never read it, personally.
Actually it's a good film magazine with some great interviews and reviews etc. But cause it's UK based , their gossip may be out of date or just plain wrong when it goes to publication.
I can't believe that article doesn't mention ANYTHING about the 1994 Spider-Man animated series. That was probably my favorite version of Spider-Man before the movies.

As for their "things you should know about spider-man 3" its already very known that Sam Raimi isn't going to do Venom so if their rumor about John Jameson bringing back a passenger from space is wrong, how reliable is their tidbit about Eliza and the Black cat?
They've already introduced two potential villains in SP2: Harry becoming the Green Goblin and Curt Connors (Dylan Baker) who is the Lizard.
Yeah that's pretty much the costume....and may I say, that I think that Eliza would be perfect. She has the zest and the sauciness and in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" she's proven that...uhm....in a skintight black vinyl outfit.....(drool).....uh...she.....excels.....she's really.....

I'll be in my bunk.
I wonder if the white hair would work with Eliza's complexion.
Actually with the Black Cat's speech patterns this would be perfect casting. Eddy if they need to, they can make these things work.

My question is to how they'll work in The Black Cat's bad luck powers, since they we're bestowed on her by The Kingpin and he's been hijacked by the Daredevil franchise. Unless they can do some kind of a deal in which the character can appear in both. It continues to be a shame that the Marvel Universe, so complex and interesting finds itself split and sectioned off at the movies.
Yeah but I doubt they'll go that far. Just like with Rogue in 'X-Men'. Too much hassle to work in the Carol Danvers-powers of flight and strength etc. bit. And the Cat didn't always have those powers.

Think maybe they'll go for a triangle thing? MJ angry when she reads tabloid stuff about Spiderman being flirtatious with sexy cat burglar woman? Funny. I just hope they're not gonna drown the movie with too many characters, like the Batman movies did. They set up Green Goblin II already, and possibly the Lizard, and then the Black Cat possibility...

Would be cool to see Eliza flip across rooftops though. I bet she'd do a lot better job than many actresses in terms of attitude and dialogue. Most of them ham it up way too much. I thought even Michelle Pfeiffer was a little over the top actually. And don't even get me STARTED on Halle Berry's nonsense.
Ed, get outta the bunk. I'm gonna need it eventually......
Am I the only one who thinks Eliza would have been the perfect Elektra? Not that there's anything wrong with Jennifer Garner, but Eliza had the moves, the attitude, and the right south-eastern European heritage. In fact, when I first heard about the movie I sorta assumed she would be in it. Not sure yet whether she would look right as the Cat . . .
Eddy, I don't think they're talking about Venom when they talk about John Jameson bringing back a passenger from space. I think they're referring to Man-Wolf.

Black Cat? Eliza? AWESOME, if true.

Damn Kevin Smith, I'm still waiting for him to finish the stupid "Evil that Men Do" story arc for the Spider Man comic which features Black Cat...
