The Angel Series Finale Poll results. Wesley gets voted favourite Angel character. Find out the other results at N:Zone Magazine.

Agree/disagree with these results? What would you put?

Just marveling at how a once-throwaway villain has taken over the Buffyverse. Spike's the favorite vampire on ANGEL's show?! I mean, I'd vote for him, I'm just amazed at how pervasive the Spike-love has gotten. I know some people hate him and think he had too much screen time on Buffy and Angel, but the numbers don't lie. People like him. They really do!

And my vote for 6 people to have spinoff.....Spike, Faith, Giles, Dana, Wesley, Fred........what? So I have a thing for the British boys.... ; ) And I still wanna see Dana come back relatively sane and fall in love with Spike. Cuz Navi is hot and JM is hot and Dana/Spike would be uber hot!!
It's a fun read—with some very funny comments!

While I liked Wes the most, I cried a lot more at Cordelia's death. Maybe because it was unexpected (sort of), maybe since we've known her since episode one, maybe since she'd reverted to snarky Cordy, maybe because I was so exhausted from the tension of the series ending (re: Wes, that is).
My wife was on a business call when "You're Welcome" aired...I went upstairs 10 or 15 minutes after it was over, having taped it, of course. She got off the phone and said, "So...any good." And I started to talk, having had taken what I thought had been enough time to compose myself, and instead I just started blubbering, and she said, "Oh, no, she's dead..."

Me: Inadvertent human spoiler.

Long way of saying Cordy's death affected me the most. Not that the others didn't, it was just the gorgeous poetry of the whole thing...saving Angel's resolve and soul so that he might save many thousands--millions, maybe--other souls as well.

Best couple: Wes and Lilah (Keep them on!)

Best episode: I Will Remember You (followed by Not Fade Away—just rewatched it again—astonishing story-telling.)

Favorite character: Lorne (Well, maybe not, but this is a hard question...and we watched the Halloween party episode yesterday, and he was phenomenal in it.)

Desert island partner: Uh…Cordy, duh…

Favorite male vampire: Spike. Not a slap at Angel at all. Just that, well, Spike!

Favorite female vampire: Darla. Unlike many of the vampires we've come to know and love, she was evil, well bad at least, as a human...loved her in the Victorian Era and as the naughty little school girl, the first vamp we ever see in the Buffyverse (TV-style). And she stakes herself so that her child, the only piece of humanity left in her, can be born. Great stuff.

Favorite villain: Sahjon. A copout...there are too many--Evil Cordy, Jasmine, Holtz, W&H, the nasty priests in Pylea, Billy, et. al.

Spinoff: Faith (best potential, and she will probably look like she does now for a long time!) Runnerup: Illyria

Who’d I bring back? Cordy—her death was mystical, and therefore challengable. Wes is gone. Fred’s soul is obliterated. Doyle's beautiful sacrifice needs to be honored.

Who’d I pick to save in the alley by the Hyperion (and wasn’t that lovely to have brought back into the story?): Gunn, because I think the others would all have survived.
What else can we say...and how many times do we have to say it.....SPIKE RULES !!!!!!!!!!
It's a NO BRAINER. Please Joss.....please FOX and ME....give this guy his own show. How much more proof do you need?
One hundred and fifty replies huh? Not much of a pole if you ask moi. First off, Andrew Popular? When did that happen? And Spike sucks, while Wesley rules, and Angel can go either way.

Anywho, here's how I would have voted:

1. Smile Time
2. Lilah
3. Wes
4. Tie: Buffy/Angel and Wes/Lilah
5. Well obviously it's NOT Spike, so by default it would be Angel. for female, it would be Dru.
6. Tie: Lilah and Angelus, ooh and the dude with the little man slave.
7. All characters MINUS Spike. I'm not picky
8. Wesley
9. Neither. Illyria has grown on me and I love Cordy and all, but it's time to let the dead stay dead.
10. Gunn (It's about time a human outlasted the demons)

"In the beginning, it was Doyle. Then for a while, it was Lorne. Briefly, it was The Big Gulp Demon from That Old Gang of Mine. Then sometime after that, Spike turned up... and that was that."

Hee hee! I love The Big Gulp Demon! He was so cute.

Here are my answers:

Favorite episode of "Angel": Not Fade Away, with Shells and A Hole in the World close behind
Favorite "Angel" character: Wesley
Stranded on a desert island: Mmm Wesley
Favorite couple on "Angel": Wesley and Illyria
Favorite male vampire? Angel
Favorite female vampire? Darla
Favorite villain during the run of "Angel"? Lilah
Spinoff: The Wesley and Illyria show
Whose death on "Angel" was the hardest to take? Wesley
If you could bring back one and only one, who would it be? Fred or Cordelia? That's a toughie. I'd say Fred, but only with a powerful Illyria and Wesley-centric story arc where Wesley's fondness for Illyria grows and then is faced with a decision about who he'd choose.
"Not Fade Away" question: If you could choose only one of those four in the alley (Angel, Spike, Gunn, Illyria) to survive, who would it be? Illyria. She was the most fascinating character in the end, and we only just got to know her.
The guy has quite a sense of humor, too. The way he put this just had me bwaahaha-ing:

"We had a clear-cut and unsurprising winner in the male vampire category:

64% Spike
26% Angel
8% Angelus

If we combine Angel and Angelus, which is fair, it looks a little better for the star of the show.

64% Spike
34% Angel/Angelus
"

Cordy's death had me broken up the most.
